I am with you on the ketchup addiction. I think that ketchup is a stable food in my house. I like ketchup on just about everything. I always say I need a little french fries with my ketchup.

My mother had a coffee addiction as I was growing up. She would always have a fresg pot of coffee. All of the family friends knew they could stop by our house for a cup of fresh brewed coffee. The resteraunt might not have a fresh cup of coffee, but for sure my mom would have one along with a piece of pie or cake that she had baked recently. My sister and brother are very much like my mom... always with a cup of coffee in hand.

How many of us can't make it one day without drinking a Coke, Pepsi, or another carbondated drink? I know that I have been very guilty of this. Even diet sodas are not good for us and still have these addictive principles.

Do you want to live the rest of your life with your child? If you go doing drugs, you risk the posibility of loosing your rights to your child. My sister did the stupid thing of taking some drugs while she was going though a divorce and she ended up loosing her children. She was not able to see or talk to her children until they became adults. Can you imagine how much more your cravings for your child will be compaired to the craving of the drug? If you think that you can handle crying yourself to sleep every night and dealing with depression because you sold your child out to drugs, then go for it!

There are many religons that can help the addict with overcoming their addiction. One of the steps of the 12 step program is admitting that there is a recognizing a greater power that can give strength. This is pretty much in all religions. It is not a matter of just being a Christian that can help others recover. Getting closer to God (the creator of the world) can help many people overcome drugs. The important aspect is faith no matter if it is in the name of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, or another name.

My associate from work has a cousin that really seems to be dragging her down. Her family expects her to driver her female cousin around to where her cousin wants to go because her cousin cointinues to get into trouble with drinking and driving. She is expected to keep her out of trouble. Her family has been enabling the cousin who is an alcoholic with a bad sense of judgement. One night after the bar closed, the alcoholic cousin took off in the car after she asked the responsible cousin to get her some cigarettes from the gas station. She ended up recking and totalling the car. The one who was to be blamed by the whole family was the responsible cousin. I don't think that is fair.

That is just plain crazy to give animals a valium or xanax. I know that it would be dosed on the size of the animal, but I am not for it. I have been around some pretty hyper pets, but I think there are better ways to control their behavior. Pets are very similar to kids. Both needs behavior modification sometimes to control their maladaptive behavior and increase their adaptive behaviors. Pet's adaptive behaviors could be something like letting you know they they need to go out to go potty or that they are hungry. Alot of time maladaptive behaviors happens because they are not able to communicate their needs or a lack of attention. It is important to give your pet positive feedback such as "good dog" or petting them when they are behaving in the manner in which you approve of.

Older people have a increase for bone loss due to osteoporosis naturally regardless if they take an antidepressant or not. This is why older people are encouraged to take calcium supplements. There are other factors that makes one bones weaker including nutrition and use of caffiene. Many people do not realize that caffiene increases bone loss. Bullying has been around for such a long time. I remember when I was a kid. I use to be the one who use to beat up the bullies who were picking on my friends who were less fortunate. Now that I have grown up, I have taught my son not to be the victim. He had told me about some kid who was bullying him and his friend at school. He had told his teacher but she didn't do anything about it. I had told him that he should not let anyone put him down or hit on him. Last Spring, I received a phone call from his principle because he and his friend fought back against the bully who had been bullying them all year. I did not punish him becasue that is the only way to stop a bully is to beat him or her at their own game. I have raised my son to always defend those who are weaker and less fortunate than himself.

A study has shown teens who use amphetamines such as "speed" and kick the habit should avoiding those drugs as adults. Researchers found increased addiction risks and heart risks. Those who had used amphetamines previously brains were sensitive to the drug. Some of that sensitivity was seen in brain areas related to the control of the heart. That could mean greater risk of addiction or heart attacks.

Myth addiction can be very extreme and have long lasting effects on the brain and the body of the abuser. Some signs of meth abuse include insomnia, anxiety, confusion, mood swings and violent behavior. Hallucinations, delusions and paranoia can also be present in extreme levels of meth addiction.

Meth is not a drug to experiment with. It takes only once for the person to get hooked.

Many of us knows those who are workaholics. Some business entrepreneurs have the same kind of an addiction. I was watching the Dr. Phil Show and realized that yes, some entrepreneurs are addicted to the thrill of success in business. Some are unable to stop with their online endeavors even when they are failing and loosing alot of money.
