I agree with you about it has to come from him. Unfortunately, often it takes a tragidy for alcoholics and drug abusers to stop their abusing.

Sometimes we have to change our location and those we know or associate with in order to get out of the rut that has enabled us to drink and drug. I know that when I go back to my hometown I see those who have remained there has basically gone nowhere with their lifes. In order for me to find my friends, I would have to go to the bars. It is better for me just to stay away from such people and remain alcohol and drug free.

Cravings

I have been sober for 8 years now. Being sober doesn't mean that you do not have cravings. I do have cravings for specific types of drinks. When I think of orange juice or cherry coke, I think of the drinks that I use to drink.

It is not so strange to purchase these drugs from an overseas pharmacy. The prices of medications in the USA is way too high because of the affiliation with the FDA and the major pharmaceutical companies.

I have a friend who has a girlfriend who is on drugs. She keeps on leaving him so she can go drugging with her so called friends. She will leave him for days at a time and recently for several weeks. No matter what he keeps on allowing her to come back because he is in love with her. When she isn't on drug, she is a wonderful person. When she is on drugs, she is a nasty person. I get up set with him for allowing her to come back when she has exhausted her money for drugs. I get upset with him because he is a wonderful and caring individual who deserves so much more. Should I really get upset about this?

Know anything to help with withdrawals?

He has been trying to get her off the drugs. She has been going through withdrawals very badly. Does anyone know of anything that can help people with withdrawals?

A friend of mine has been in alot of pain lately and has been taking vicoden. She is afraid of taking the vicoden because she is afraid of getting addicted to it since she has addiction problems in the past.
