I was actually going to go see this movie tonight. My friend said it was funny but dumb at the same time. She didn't mention a heroin addiction at all. I saw pineapple express, they had some major marijuana addiction. And When his girlfriend accused him of it he said what all marijuana addicts say "You cant get addicted to weed"
Tips on getting a teen sober

Get appropriate treatment
: Talk with a health professional about the best treatment option for your teen, and in your area. Adult programs do not meet the needs of teens because they usually focus on long term health and relationship effects of substance abuse, this isn’t really a concern for teens. If your teen needs to be placed in a structured inpatient or outpatient program look for one with the components they need, like school opportunities or parental involvement.
•
Be involved in the treatment and aftercare program
: Let your teen know that you are supportive and there for them. It will probably take time for your teen to reestablish trust and to be forgiven by you, even to be forgiven by themselves.
•
Get help for your family
: Talk to a health professional about this. Substance abuse affects the physical, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of the person and their family. Your family members need to know that they did not cause the disease but their behavior can contribute to the continuation of the disease process. Family therapy is an important factor in whether or not your teen will be able to remain sober after treatment. Support groups like Al-Anon and Alateen can be very helpful for family members also.
•
Help establish a direction
: establishing a sense of direction in life is very important for your teen so that they can stay sober. Treatment for teen substance abuse usually includes help to identify talents and strengths than be used to find healthy interests. Hobbies and occupations. The teens that develop a sense of purpose in life are better able to avoid substance use.
•
Plan for relapse
: most teens relapse after treatment and this doesn’t mean their treatment has failed. Relapse is high because addiction is a long-term disease. And if your teen does relapse, respond with empathy because it is very hard to remain substance free.

I think this is very true. I dont even think recovery is at all possible if you dont have faith in quitting and are fully dedicated to it.

Most the people I know who have gotten surgery start talking about going back again and fixing it again. I knew 3 girls that got nose jobs, and they still complain about their noses and talk about going back again to fix the tiny flaw thats left. I think plastic surgery is kind of like getting a tattoo. have you realised whenever someone gets a tattoo they start wanting another?
I looked at that jocelyn girls picture OMG she looks so scary!!!

i think she was also just used to doing her job drunk. When shes back doing the same thing she was doing before and around the same surroundings she was at then it makes her want to go back to her substance. Imagine a crack addict always doing crack in a certain room, would they be able to stay sober while they're in that room? it would make it harder on them.

This show seems interesting and good. What type of things do they question the drivers? I think it could be good tho, because usually when people drink and drive they think they wont get a DUI or they wont get into an accident but this shows them that it could happen.

Moms always know, its creepy even when its not drugs. I was at my cousins house last month and my aunt started talking about my cousin and then started all of a sudden worrying about her and kept calling her, I told her shes at work she cant answer, but it turns out her feelings were right. My cousin got into an accident and she missed work and she was too scared to call her mom and tell her whats going on. The emergency room called her because its required since shes under 18.

I agree with larryking I dont see the danger of energy drinks. No doctors have come up with any other side effects other than the same as soda drinkers. I thnk its just because its a new thing that people make such a big deal about it. I can see the problem with mixing it with alcohol tho, but I also dont think its as bad as some people say it is.
20-99 years in jail!!!

I was reading this article where this man could be getting 20-99 years in jail for having and distributing meth. He was staying in a motel where police searched his room and found 5 ounces of methamphetamines, $827 cash and a digital set of scales. Police have been looking for him for almost 2 years. He is now charged with trafficking illegal drugs, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
I agree he should definitely go to jail, but 20-99 years??? I think 20 is enough, what do you think?

I believe that dreams do mean something, even in the bible and other religious books they have so many things happen through dreams. I think dreams have many meanings and they could sometimes come true too!

I never had to deal with an addict I know dying but I did hear of this one guy who died from an overdose and I guess hes been an addict for a while. I saw his mom a few times and she mentions him every time I see her. Shes still so depressed about it and he doesn't leave her mind for an instant. we always think of the addicts and the stuff they go through but a lot of people just dont think of the pain and heartache the family goes through, especially the addict who usually never thinks of this.

Its good to draw the line about everything that you wont stand for. Not just about drugs, if you'll never deal with abuse then amke that straight or ur significant other ever cussing at you then that should be clear also. I think its really important to let these things out in the open in the beginning.

The one about superman is true, because no matter what he does he'd never die. But so many things harm us and we over come so many things and the ones that do it and actually overcome are the people who I consider brave.
