First off all I have to say thay my parrents, my dad actually took me to a real casino, situated in an airport. That was the first time I gambled, after that I think I have been to more than 20 real casinos throughout mylife, but I have to say I don't like them as much as I like Videolottery games, withc are found in small lotteries.

In this case the chinese man did not die from staying up 3 days on the internet, I think he died of a heart atack or exhaustion. Gambling does raise you heart beats, there are people that can control this but most of them, including me, can't. I remeber the time when I was a heavy gambler, I could feel a wierd shaking of my body, my heart beat defenitely was rising before a bonus round or after I won or lost.

Can masturbation be called an addiction? I think it can, in case it is done frequently .Anyway in this thread I want to talk about masturbating in public. Two years ago I met this guy at a restaurant, where we were working together, he was peacefull and quite a guy! Few weeks later when the season eas over and the bar closed I heard on local news that he was masturbating in public, and in the same time recording the act. I could never understand this behaviour. And the second and most shocking thing is this guy that lives in the block over the road from me. he masturbates in his balcoony sitting on an chair so he can higher up his position to be seen by women, that pass in front on his block, and he whisles to them so he can get their attention. He does this all all the time, whener he is not at work or god know what this man is doing.. he does not care if he's wife or daughter are at home, he countinues mastubating, they don't seem to have a problem with it.

This bad habbit is a very expensive one in most of the countries. In Romania cigarettes cost 1.5$ each, they are pretty cheap here, but I used to live in Noway many years ago. In Norway cigarrets cost arroud 10 - 15$ a pack this is a huge difference, so my parents had cu cut donw the number of cigarttes per day. Qutting smoking save you a lot of money , that u can use for more impotant things that really matter in your life.

Congratullations for your quit, I have experienced this before, You start feeling better and better each day, but first weeks are as you say, simply hell. Sometimes I felt like crying, even if I was down town or in any other public place. It's wierd what cigarette can do to you, only after you quit you can feel the harm they actually did to you.

Extasy known as a club drug, gives addiction just after 2 doses, pretty fast. But people that regullary take extasy say they can quit any time they want. Is this true? I guess not, extasy is compunded of 7 different drugs so it must be more addictive than for example cannabis or marijuana. How can they say they can quit anytime?

Do you think it is worth smoking again after a 2 year pause? Just think of it ! You have a problem but smoking will be your second one, so I guess it is easier to deal with one problem that having to deal with 2 problems. You should try to find some nice activities , for example a little sport will do you good, untill you solve all your problems. Good luck

I guess he did the right thing at least for the moment, if he could not handle his television addcition. this way he solved hiw problem. It will take short time untill he will realize how stupid it is to waste your whole time watching television. I recomend watching movies in Cinema's , beside watching television shows , Cinema's are also social so I don't see anything addcitive about them.

I have met many people that spend a whole lot of time on matrimonial websites, they find parteners online, they even meet their online friends and sometimes build up a relationship. Is this good for them ? They think that it is the best way to find a good partner, but I guess relationship over the internet are distructable for the society in some way or another. They forget how it is to meet a person in a club, a to get into discussion with them and from there to begin or not a relationship.

Gambling is very addcitive for a person that really likes to earn free money! Once the person wins a good sum of money the addiction just grows on and on untill they actually loose everything in some cases. I have been muself an addict but i managed to quit and see it now like a hobby

In a normal family , where there exist love nothing and nobody should make them give up on each other. Frequently argues are from money, job problems etc. but when it comes to dealing with a loved one that is a drug addict it is a very sensible problem, it should be taken step by step and of course if money is involved it should not be a problem spending all savings just for that memeber to recover.

At the beginning of a relationship I think the sexual atraction is highest, But as the relashionship grows love sometimes is involved, and yes real love does exist. I have experieced real love for the first time when I was 18 so I can tell real love exists no matter the age. Porn addicion from my point of view does not exist, a man or woman has all the rights to look at porn it sometimes can be sexual education. Of course it must not be done in excess.

The worst thing about gambling is that the addicted allways gets mad at everyone after loosing. This is a normal behaviour for a gambler.

Internet and gaming can be addictive, but I don't believe a person cannot sort out his life, and program the next day ahead. The problem is with the kidds and their addcition to gaming. I will tell you something that is funny but in the same time sad.. In my country the most popular game 'Counter Strike' has striked many young teens.. they actually walk with their neck turned a little aside just the possison they have when playing the game..not forget to mention that they allways talk about these games at school, after school forever .. it is just not good . Parrents should take this into consideration.

High cost of smoking won't make a smoker quit or smoke less. It is an addcition and as we all know we'll do anything to have it, at least most of us. In my country cigarettes's price grew by 50 percent in the last 2 years but this did not make people smoke less, studies show that here in Romania people smoke even more. As I said one pack of cigaretets costs nearly 2 euros, when the average salary is only 300.

Good tips , but I think every individual has his own techniques to cope with cravings, most of the ones you've listed above did not help me when I tried to quit once, the only thing that kept me away from cigarettes for one week was my will to not smoke.

Buying shares is only good for people with experience and knowledge about the markets , I myself registred at a online Forex website , and lost three hundred dollars in one single day. I just wanted to try my luck, I knew it was the same as gamblig, even more risky but still wanted to try. If you want to get in bussines first download all the stuff about trading that the internet has to offer and study the basical stepts in trading, then you can give it a try.

I don't know why people don't stop for a moment to think about gambling, at least before they go and gamble huge amounts of money. Especially the ones that have been intro gambling for a long period of time should know by now that the cahnces to win and beat the House is impossible. Every casino game has set a winning chance like 40% or so, they will never loose. The only way someone will be in profit is by winning a nice amout of money and never play again. As for advertising I have nothing against it is just like any other business

Over the years, I have told myself that I will not play again hundreds of times, even promised my friends and family I won't do it anymore, but I relapsed jut as many times as I told myself I won't do it again. Gamgling is simply dangerous, I just admire people that say they'll never want to gamble, they don't even want to try. I once took one of my familly friends to the Slots he just stood by me, and watched me playing, he easn't even curious to bet a single $.

If love is involved in your relationship you should try everything possible to try to get her away from gambling, try any methods she accepts, don't push to hard on her she will just play more and more, try talking to her, tell her everyday how much u love her and that u would not want to loose her because of her gambling addcition, tell her how important she is for you. And if nothing else works try some specialized attention you can find plenty on the internet.

I think there is allready a thread like to this one. Anyway gambling should be legall for what it is, so people can go and win if they feel lucky, but what they should do is not give out so many authorisations for opening casinos and gambling places. In my City there are more casinos, gambling places , and lotterries than restaurants, and they all appeard over night.

Some people just don't think like that, buying a deck of cards won't make them happy. Real gambles have to feel the game. they have to risk something, no risking no fun, for them at least. I have been out of real gambling for some time now, and I can tell you I feel much better about myself. I will tell you guys a little story about that deck of cards that is mentioned above. I and 3 of my old friedns once bought a deck of cards and decided to play for fun. we ended playing on money and we argued that much durring the games that we haven't talked to each other for about a month.

If gambling makes you at one point to loose your home, you can loose yourself aswell I have heard many stories about people mortgageing their homes just to continue gambling in hope they'll get back what they've lost. Recently there was this case in my home town, a teenager just cut his
throat because he lost 3000 dollars, he had lost before too but this made him comit suicide, I think gambling should be illegal for people under 25.
