2006 Suicide because of MySpace

Remember that case in 2006 where a girl named Megan killed herself because of a fake user named "Josh" who was flirting with her and then tried to end things by saying the world would be a better palce without her and all along it was the mother from down the street? Well the case was on trial and the mother who made the MySpace account was indicted by a federal grand jury on one count of conspiracy and three counts of accessing protected computers without authorization to get information used to inflict emotional distress on the girl. This was a sad story and if you want to read more about it you can check it out at: http://news.aol.com/story/_a/woman-indicted-in-myspace-suicide-case/20080515152309990001?icid=100214839x1202299720x1200092727

The internet can be a bad place and so many people are addicted to it and a lot of people are getting hurt by it.

I think it's way more than trying to be a cool mom. She needs help and to go to a rehab that has dual diagnosing because it sounds like she has more than one addiction. That must be embarrassing for her children to see their mom like that.

I don't think that will ruin her reputation at all. She already comes across as a tough chick and kind of nasty in the sexual way. I don't think people would look at her any differently or really no expect that she hasn't already. In fact, the amount of money that guy wants to sell it is kind of ridiculous because it's really not that big of a surprise.

Unfortunately, actress Kirsten Dunst’s visit to rehab didn’t help. She went because of her addiction to alcohol, but after being released and celebrating her birthday she got drunk again and friends and family are worried about her. "She got worse as the night went on. She started out pretty chilled, but hours later she was dancing and jumping like a crazed animal... She indulged in any guy who would have her attention. She also went up to several guys and started flirting with them hard-core…She was just completely out of it. It was obvious that whatever happened in rehab didn't stick."

I guess I should have read yours first, I just posted something about this same thing. It's so sad and I think you're right, you should stay away from the scene until you can get your life back on track and be able to go out without feeling tempted to drink or use any drug depending on your situtation.

These numbers scare me. I know way too many people who smoke. It is hard though and I know a lot of people who have tried to quit, but when something stressful happens they turn right back to smoking.

We all know who Charles Barkley is, but were you aware of his gambling addiction? According to the national media reports, he just lost another $450,000 in Vegas! He admitted to it in 2006 on ESPN and told everyone he has lost anywhere between $50-60 MILLION in the past 12 years. "My agent has really worked with me to try to get it where I can go and gamble and have fun, then leave," he said. "That's easier said than done, however." That is a lot of money to lose from gambling. Many people don't even see that much in their life time let alone gamble it away in 12 years.

Smoking Ban at Florida Hospitals

June is the last month that it will be okay to smoke (or use any tobacco products) at any Florida Hospital and Orlando Health Facilities. This also bans smoking inside vehicles parked in the hospital parking lots. All of the 30,000 employees have been offered free smoking-cessation programs in helping them prepare for the change. I always thought it was weird to see so many nurses/doctors smoking at hospitals. It’s like you out of everyone know how bad it is for your health, but I think it’s because they are under so much stress in the workplace. I think that with this change more hospitals will follow in their footsteps, but I think that if an employee really wants to smoke they will find a way to do so. Maybe it will help though with visitors and such.

What show can you not get enough of? I have to watch Grey's Anatomy every week when there is a new episode. Now though I was watching the Bachelorette and Wipe Out.

They may of been joking, but that's really nothing to laugh about, but I guess in Hollywood anything goes and anyone is made fun of no matter how personal or embarrassing it may be for the celebrity. I just hope they keep standing up for what they believe in and even Jordan Sparks stood up for them so at least someone was supporting them.

Wow, that is great for your father. It must have been such a big step for him and your family. In a recent conversation I had with a family member I was told that her other side of the family only knows how to drink, smoke and gamble. I couldn't but thinking how sad and what kind of life is that? I guess when you are raised and grow up in that kind of environment the habits are passed down from generation to generation.

I'm not trying to be mean and please don't take this the wrong way, but as I have grown up I realized that the times when I tried to present myself to look good on the outside was really when I was miserable on the inside. I would consider going to counseling to see if there is a deeper issue that is lying within you and you may not even know what it is so how can you fix it? People should like you for what's on the inside, not the appearance you present.

Ron White from Blue Collar Comedy Tour was arrested before one of his shows for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The 51 year old was released 2 hours later on $1000 bail. He was only an hour late for his next show. This is kind of a strange story. He just got caught for drugs, but made his next show. I bet the fans were happy he was still able to make it and he will probably be able to make up more jokes about his experience.
