Telling people is a big step. But I also think its one of the most important steps to take. Your admitting your flaws and your asking for help. Help is a requirement in recovery and not many people can recover without it.

Wow you put it in great perspective. It's not just drug abuse that we can just have enough of its anything that hurts us whether its drugs, technology or people. But its hard to stick with your word. Its extremely hard for me because I keep making excuses and just think things will get better later on. I'll naturally quit and wont have to go through all the steps of recovery. But that's not the way it goes and I'm just living a fantasy thinking that.

meh said: You should read the stories on here too.. They're really amazing I've been going trhough and reading them.

I read a few too, They could make movies about some of them. And so many are so inspiring. I hate how some of them dont get back and inform us whether they've succeeded or failed though. I hope they're sober.

I have the same problem with my girlfriend. She cheated on me and then admitted it. And after admitting it and working everything out she did it again. Sometimes I think that she is still cheating on me. Like she did it all those times even seeing how much she hurt me whats going to stop her now? Every time she doesn't answer my call or text I automatically think shes cheating on me. And sometimes I'll just randomly call her yelling at her accusing her of cheating on me. I dont know if that will ever go away. She swears on everything all the time that shes faithful now but she swore before too. I think it just takes time to develop a trust again. Even if it takes years. But you also need things to prove to you that they're not cheating. I check her phone all the time and if anything suspicious comes up them I know not to trust her. I think its going to take somethings to prove to you also whether hes doing drugs or not. Maybe a random drug test every once in a while to prove to you. It would cause fights for sure but you'll get your answer.

Sometimes your just meant to be with a person. Even with all the ups and downs and horrible things that happen throughout the relationship. A break may make things all better as it did in your relationship Alessandra. But I what I don't know is how can you tell when its not meant to be? It's easy to just keep trying to worth things out over and over again but its the most difficult when you decide to give up and push all those feelings away.

God may not help us right at that moment when we need him but he has a reason for it and God will help us when he thinks we cant handle it. Gods always there with us even in our toughest times and he's the reason why in the end we make it through alright. He may not help us in the ways we want him to but he helps us in the ways that are best for us.

This quote is very true. I remember once getting into a fight with one guy because my parents bought me a nice car. He said I dont deserve it because I didn't work for it. But God blessed me with parents who could get it for me and who enjoy getting me the best. And even if I did work for the whole thing its God who blessed me with the ability and the opportunity to.

Alot of people during the great depression commited suicide because they thought their life insurance would cover their families. They didn't know however that life insurance doesn't cover deaths from suicide. But also before the great depression our economy was extremely prosperous because of illegal smuggling and trading of alcohol. People were making so much money off of it and buying many things and developing businesses all of that. Al capone a mafia guy made $60 million dollars in one year, and this is in the 1920's! $60 million was like $60 billion now. Although people went against the law the economy benifited from it. I'm sure even with all the bad things with drugs going on now our economy is still benefiting from it in many ways.

Wow I never heard of labs creating that much meth! I've heard of labs creating quite a bit but never $600,000 a day worth! Thats reallly dangerous though. living next to one could affect you also. But we'd also never even know its a meth lab.

I was reading an article and it was talking about how easy it is to obtain marijuana. I know it’s easy because I was able to get it within 15 minutes and when I was just 14. All it takes is a phone call. But I stopped a long time ago and now they’re saying the new way to get marijuana is online, through facebook and myspace. Have any of you heard about that? Doesn’t that get the dealer caught up much more than the old fashioned way?

You know there's companies that deliver healthy cooked food for you every day. They prepare you a breakfast lunch and dinner. And I'm sure for people who buy fast food for all their meals it would only be just a bit more expensive. But its healthy.

I'm starting to get addicted to coffee. I started drinking it every morning for the past month not to wake me up but just because it tastes good. But now when I dont drink it in the morning I start getting headaches. Should I stop from now? And deal with the headaches or should I just stop later because the headaches will just be the same? I dont know what to do. I tried drinking decaff thinking that maybe mentally I'll be satisfied with coffee without the caffeine but its the caffeine I need now!

Online support could help an addict who is trying to recover. Give them the proper advice like to go to a treatment center, or how to stop. They dont neccesarily need to continue going online to get support, online support could lead them in a better direction for support that could be better in their case. It could also help the family of the addict. How to get them their support and information about it.

meh said: I do agree that designer jeans on guys is hot!! I saw a guy today as I was walking out of class and he was very good looking but he walked up infront of me and his pants were really ugly, they were like $20 jeans blue and kind of high and they were like bootcut (but not like cowboy bootcut) I'm sure no one else would've noticed this but me, But i stopped thinking he's cute just because of those ugly jeans! I know its realy bad and materialistic but I hate it when guys wear cheap jeans. He had a nice car too I dont see why he couldn't just wear nice jeans!

lol I pay attention to girls shoes. If they're not a designer or they dont match her shirt its a complete turn off!

DonEdBaby said: It has to be signed by a medical doctor.. I'm sure there's a system that your name is inputed in, so they could probably run a check to see if it's real.  Also they could just call the doctor and see if they actually authorized it.

I think people could get away with this pretty easy. I don't think cops have this system put into their right now and I also don't think they'd arrest a person until they could contact their doctor and see if its real. Cops would probably just let them go and just get their information. But would they actually follow through and search it? This is something new I think they need more time to be more precise about it.

During high school I really dont remember anyone who smoked. It seemed to be a smoke free campus. I knew of many many people who drank and did drugs but not smoked ciggs. But during our senior year we were allowed to go off campus for lunch and I found out of a few people who smoked. People I never thought would. I guess they're secret smokers lol.

I dont think doctors think much that the person they're prescribing these pills to may be getting so many other pills from various other doctors.  I think they just think they're doing their jobs but providing them with the help they need and so are the other doctors who these addicts are going to.

I have a friend who's lately had a brain problem. His brain keeps bleeding and he's been getting severe headaches. Doctors told him that he's going to have to get the blood drained and there is also dried blood that they need to go in and remove. He's a great guy and if you looked at him you'd never think he had any health issues. But due to his headaches his doctor perscribed him vicodin and a very high dosage. He let one of his friends try it and has been providing his friend with it for about a month now. His friend has been buying it from other places and I'm pretty worried about him. He's taking too many and I think hes addicted now.

I dated an older girl when I was in high school. She already graduated. I would ditch so much just to hang out with her and my grades for that year were so low they brought down my whole GPA. The girl most definitely wasn't worth it though. And I think that her letting me ditch was enough to show me that she wasn't worth it. Your cousin should also see that. She's going to regret it just like I did.

There's more than one bipolar disorder drug. I'm sure if she talks to her doctor they could figure out another solution. Maybe weed actually helps her though. Weed helps insomnia and many other issues so maybe it could help that. I'm not sure.

I wouldn't worry about anything just yet. Your sister could just be a night person. Does she sleep in real late on the weekends? As long as she gets a healthy amount of sleep in she should be fine. But as you would any growing teenager, watch out for her and look for signs of drug abuse to make sure that she isn't abusing any.

I never thought our government would do such a thing. We spend so much money trying to keep drugs off the street yet our government provided our troops with it. That makes me disappointed. They took advantage of these men who were already risking their lives and added on substances that could risk their future as well. I'm sure some of those soldiers had to relapse and continue suffering an addiction.
