Wow, that would be scary. I feel bad for his wife to see something like that and have to react so fast to try and save her husbands life. I hope he quit and better his life.

Today, the Supreme Court passed a new law, which will make it a crime to even send messages using the computer that “offer or seek child pornography, even when no such pornography exists.” There is still debate whether it is a violating the 1st amendment of free speech and that it is too broad, but even if it were to violate free speech, they shouldn’t be talking to a minor in the first place let alone about pornography.

Alcohol Banned at Beach

Del Mar City Council made an emergency decision last night to ban alcohol at city beaches and parks between Memorial Day-Labor Day. This decision was made after their public service director reported that there was an increase in alcohol consumption during the last 2 weekends.  Violators may be fined $100 for their first offense. Some people are mad about this decision saying that they are being too uptight, but another person made a good point, you can’t go around drinking on the streets so why should you on beaches and in parks? It’s a big problem when people become reckless and harmful. Whenever there is drinking people tend to drive drunk or even doing stupid things at the beach. It just doesn’t sound safe and people tend to drink more over the holidays.

Can you believe it's almost been seven years since 9/11?! How fast the time has gone by! I think with these times and the presidential election I think it's important that we keep praying for our troops, country and families. I try and go to the cemetery every year to see my local military men and women who have died fighting for our freedom. God Bless!

I know a ton of people that can't separate themselves from their Blackberry’s, Treo’s and iPhones. It is sad and it does make them isolate themselves from their families and time spent together. I just recently got the iPod Touch which gets internet where there is a wireless connection and I have that at my house and now I spend a lot of down time on it and surf the web and play games instead of spending time with my loved ones.

I kind of am in the same boat as you. I try and convince myself that drinking diet is good for me, well at least better than regular soda, but it really isn't good for you either. I try to drink only one diet soda a day and water and tea for the rest. Try cutting back and if water is so plain try flavored water or like they said Crystal Light. It isn't good for your body to be so dehydrated and it can lead to other problems with your body.

I'm honestly so sick of MySpace right now. I mean people use it to brag about themselves and it makes people be nosy. I have a couple stories about this topic though. One of my friends dumped this guy and he posted a bulletin saying oh never drink, take 2 ecstasy, 2 vicodin and kept listing all this stuff. She called him on it and he said he was just joking. She chewed him out about it because it really isn't something to joke about. For the sex part, a girl from high school does modeling for like swimsuits and stuff, but they are pretty inappropriate, the comments men left about the pictures were absolutely disgusting and I don't see how her parents are fine with this. I guess someone started reporting her pictures and she left a status thing saying MySpace stop deleting my pictures they aren't showing my nasty. I was happy they deleted them. No one should post pictures like that on their MySpace.
Super Bowl Drinking

The Super Bowl is right around the corner and we all like to have or throw parties to watch the game and of course the commercials. It's also a time for drinking and this year the troops in Iraq are able to drink 2 beers during the game. Usually they don't allow drinking in combat areas, but they are monitoring it so I think it's okay. They will be able to watch the game at 2am their time when the game is playing here.

I'm not sure if it's this exact device, but they are putting some sort of breathalyzer in Charles Barkley's car. His blood alcohol level was .149 and in that state .15 is considered extreme DUI. Hopefully these devices work.

Researchers are finding processed foods, foods with a lot of carbs and even soda so..foods with a high glycaemic can cause an addictive sugar rush, which can lead to obesity. They might even start advertisements banning these products, strict regulations, high taxes and warnings on packages.
Porn Destroys Relationships

Kirsty, 24, from Reading is no longer with her fiancée after he refused to stop looking at internet porn. "If he had faced up to his problem I could have lived with it but he thought everything was fine. Basically, because all of his mates do it and their girlfriends don't seem to care." She met Phil, now 31, through work, at a large insurance firm and the couple moved in together after six months. "About two months after I moved in, Phil started going on porn websites on his laptop. "We'd sit on the sofa, me watching telly and him gawping at porn." Her complaints caused blazing rows as Phil insisted his habit was harmless."He wasn't happy with what we did in bed any more. He had become more aggressive. When asked why she went along with it if she wasn't happy she says she felt like she was competing with porn. "After a bit I realized he wasn't having sex with me at all; his eyes would glaze over and he wouldn't look at me and we wouldn't really kiss. He just didn't seem like he was there."I moved out following a row after I poured a glass of wine over his laptop. It was better I found out what kind of man he was before we got married. We still work in the same building, though, which makes things awkward."
