I think there should be more discussion like this from the Vets themselves - you have a voice and it needs to stay constant. The site www.thewomansheart.org is currently reaching out to women vets looking for or in recovery from addiction. Helping Women Come Home now also means from war. The challenges that women face already have high expectations but women vets who are also mothers have added pressures and expectations. You guys are right: not enough is being done!

There have been 30,316 (20%) soldiers who have experienced serious brain or spinal injuries. 30% have had mental health problems within 3-4 months of returning home. I think that’s a high percentage and I know they have some sort of debriefing when they return, but that’s not enough. I think they should set up special psychologists they can talk to when they return and maybe that could help.
