Well I agree with hotpink. Pornography addiction is a huge problem in the United States and other countries as well. I did a little research and the statistics seem to back me up 100%. Here is what I found:

Daily pornographic search engine requests=68 million (25% of total search engine requests!)

Internet users who view porn=42.7%

Sexual solicitations of youth made in chat rooms=89%

Internet Pornography Sales=$4.9 billion

Men admitting to accessing pornography at work=20%

Christians who said pornography is a major problem in the home=47%

I just think this is such a big problem that can ruin marriages, families and lives!

I agree, sometimes when you actually bring it to their attention they will start to analyze their lives. Tell your dad you are very concerned about him and his health and that you want him to be a part of your children's lives. He might even want to try therapy or something to that sort to see the root problem like a loss in his life or anything else that could have caused depression. Good luck and let us know the outcome!

Oh I know he was so bad! His girlfriend is no help to him either, she sneaks drugs and alcohol into the rehab centers to give it to him. I'm sad though because now he left the show a couple weeks ago. The other person I couldn't believe was the girl from Family Matters, she said she smokes weed every day. I really wish them the best of luck.
People in CA

I just read something that said 1.5 million people in the state of CA are addicted to gambling. There is a problem though because they said not many towns or counties are offering helping in that field of addiction. It also said that the population for gambling is 4%, but doubles when you live 50 mi from a casino. I think I already heard that statistic on this site, but that is amazing. I think this is a huge problem for our country. People can't get the right kind of help and although gambling addiction has been around for a while, it seems more recently people are finding how troubling it can be.

Do you believe that God can do anything? I do and I wish more people would rely on him and allow him to help heal and work through you. He is waiting for people to come into his arms and accept them into their live as their Lord and Savior. I think he can help you conquer all. Does anyone have a story to share where God's grace was so apparent and there and He helped you through the most difficult time in your life. I would love to hear from you.

They are trying new cigarette ban that would ban the sales of tobacco in pharmacies like Walgreens. They are also trying to pass a law that would prohibit smoking in taxis, rental cars, government cars and even farmers markets. Another place trying to do something about smoking. This is good. It's going to get harder for smokers to smoke and maybe quit altogether.
Best Friend

One of the things I have struggled a lot with is how I treat my friendship with God. I know He already knows what I'm thinking, what I'm going to do and handle situations, but the one important thing I tend to leave out is praying to God and telling him how I feel, even if He already knows. There is a song we sing in church and the lyrics say "Jesus, you are my best friend and you will always be..Nothing will ever change that.." and as I sing that song I look back at my life and notice that although I'm singing those words, I'm not acting like Jesus really is my best friend and I want Him to be. Proverbs 18:24 tells us "A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." I was so convicted when I thought about how much more time I spend with my friends than God. God is my strength and will be there with me when friends turn their backs and walk away.
