I find that is the prime of most of the problems when it comes to men and their addictions. When you can't admit to your problem, you continue to live through it. I guess that is one of the keys to denial.

She is in the 12 step program at the moment. I had a feeling that they might bring it up but I wasn't for sure. I think that is the most important thing to have when you are struggle with an addiction. No one is capable of helping you but GOD and yourself.

Outside support is a great thing to have. I have always found myself being able to talk to people who don't judge me because they dont know me. It always feels better.

You need to love him from afar. Help him get help but dont allow yourself to get hurt while doing it. You deserve to feel good about being concerned about him. He needs help and some how he needs to get it but take care of your needs and well being.

I like that post, it was more than helpful. It takes time to want to eat and take care of your body. Once you get used to doing something for so long it becomes hard to change it. But you just have to do it little bit at a time.

Men create drugs, women just follow the creation. It takes a man to go downstairs and decided to mix different chemicals. I mean I haven't seen a woman yet that has blow up a house because of meth.

Thats good to know that people are out there who actually care about someone else's well being. I don't know where there is a place here that does that but I'm sure if you have one then we might have one to. I am going to do some research.

Most people need to be able to see what they are doing. No matter what they are being told. they will still do what they do. It takes a reality check. I didn't have any inspiration when it came to my addiction, I just decided that I was tired of harming myself.

I think the drinking age honestly should be like 35 years old. I think that its just more of a responsible age for people to drink.

I have found that my friend drinks to get rid of their peoblems, it becomes a sleeping aid for them. If something is going on that they don't like or can't control, they will drink all the way til they become sleepy and then they will sleep through it. Not knowing that when they wake up its still going to be there.

Marijuana might as well be legal, I mean hell its in hosipital they give it to patients with certain conditions. Plus I've never known a man to die from smoking marijuana so how is it that its' wrong for being legal.

It's not a disease because people create it. People choose to not eat or throw it up so its a disorder. You don't create disease but you create disorders.

It is a very hard situation but the thing is you have to not judge but help. You dont' want to make the situation any worse than it is. To be there for them and guide them in the right direction is the bst thing you can do for them.

My long time boyfriend was addicted to coke, I was so inlove with him that I didn't allow the truth to surface. I even joined in every once in a while. But it got out of hand to the point where money was being taken and we weren't getting the things we needed because of his addiction. He become evil and cold hearted and I couldn't take it any longer, I know i egged it on by joining him but I had to egg it on by helping him. I threw him in a facility and left. I knew he wasn't going to stay but I at least tried.

Aww man don't tell any of these teens that one. They would go crazy. I think in some way that is too young. I think the only ones who shoul dbe able to drink are the young ones that are in the military.

Probably a beer a day or so. I didn't drink much until on the weekends, I got so stupid and drank until I got sick. I know I shouldn't have done that but that was the point of me being an alocoholic.

Anything you tell your kids is usually for the best, you can tell them but you have to show them why you are telling them not to. You have to show and prove for them to understand where you are coming from.

Are you serious. I have never heard of that before but that is something. These kid messed around and decided to try it for the first time and died. That is something that kids have to take into consideration as well. That isn't healthy.
