I was amazed that all those people stood in line to buy a $600 - $700 phone. I would say they are addicted to their phone. I think it would be way to small to watch tv on.

Addictions are forever. They are lifelong. You may be in a very good place with years of recovery behind you but I still think you can relapse.

I am not a professional or anything but here goes. Do you want to change? Do you have a counselor? Have you got rid of all your credit cards? These seem like good ones to start with.

Sometimes an addict doesn't see what his addiction is doing. He doesn't see it as an addiction and an intervention will wake him up to it. Then, he has to decide.

It is very easy to spend hours on the net and then not ge anything done. I have to limit my time. I think the internet might be a whole new addiction.

I have spent alot of time alone and find myself buying stuff online. It started out small and then just kept increasing. Finally, I decided I had to stop because I was worrying myself. It has been very difficult. Could this be an addiction?

Alwaysright is.....right. Just tell the girl openly and honestly what is going on. We will not melt. Some girls might cry but there is nothing wrong with that. We all need to grow.
Aren't all addictions the same....man or woman

Do you think there is any difference in a man or woman being addicted to the same thing? We all have differences but I would never have thought of it being divided by our sex.

This can also be a sign of paranoia which can be a part of a mental illness. If it gets bad, please see a doctor. Take care.

She is in treatment for crack. I think God would help her but don't know how to introduce the subject. Is that something the treatment people bring up?

I realize that everyone is responsible for their own actions but is it wise to stay away from male addicts once a female addict has started recovery? What I mean to ask is if they will help or hinder each other?

Some men may find it hard to admit they have a problem. Thas naturally makes recovery more difficult.

I don't know that I would call this an addiction. It sounds more like a comfort food. Popcorn is generally not that bad for you if you take it easy on the butter and salt.

There may be a fine line, but a comfort food doesn't necessarily have to be considered an addiction.

I believe that God can make revcovery easier to some degree. He will not make you immediately sober, but He can make it less difficult. If you have faith.
