If you read the SF Chronical then I'm sure you have already heard this story. I come from a small town (not even 100,000 peope) and I have lived here all but three years of my life. There is a sad trend going on here though and it's heart breaking. My high school has lost 5 graduates (one including my ex boyfriend, and two others were brothers :( ). A couple other guys have died too from the other local high schools. It's just so sad and when my ex died, it was awful! I still cry about it to this day and I find myself looking at old pictures of us. It's just so weird how such a small town has lost so many guys to the same thing. Another one went this summer and it just brings back so many painful memories. When will this pain go away? Will it ever? I feel for all the military wives and families; you'll be in my prayers.
Warnings Against Smoking

Some movies on DVD are now adding the anti-smoking message at the beginning of movies to warn young people that smoking is bad for you. California's governor said "I personally don't believe that we should erase cigarettes in movies. I don't believe that we should erase when someone smokes a cigar in a movie. I think that we should remind people and kids all the time about the dangers of smoking." I agree with what he said. You can't completely take smoking away. In movies it's just another prop like clothes and even language. If they were to take out smoking they would have to take out all bad things like cussing, alcohol and whatever else. That's why they have movie rating for what is appropriate for a certain age. I think the announcement is good for a warning that smoking is still bad for you even though they are doing it in the movies.

I love Quiznos and I was really sad when I found out their peanut butter cookie has 400 calories. Okay that is 1/5 of the amount you are supposed to intake in one day on one little cookie. I also eat at Wendy's a lot and saw on their health board that their large fries have 550. I guess I don't even think about it and I just get in the habit of eating bad food. I really need to watch what I eat, but fast food is so addicting and so easy to eat all the time because it's fast and convenient.
