Wow that sounds like something I'd say right there. I have tons of clothes in my closet, not folded or anything, just thrown on the floor and crammed in the drawers. I think it's kind of a mind trap it's like you're ignoring the fact that you know you have clothes to wear if you really get organized but going out and buying clothes just to wear and toss on the floor is part of our addiction.
I've been working on this part, so far my closet is improving I've bought shelves and now I have 2 racks to hang clothes on so my piles and piles of clothes are thinning. But the first thing I did was sort through them and gave away clothes that I hadn't worn in the past year. I gave them to someone that needed them more than I did.

Yes that's true Goose, if they have the desire in them to drink, then they're going to.... my dad had an alcohol problem and one 4th of July he decided to get drunk when my family was at the lake. And after that he's been an alcoholic ever since. At the time I was only like 13 but still there's nothing I could've done, even my mom couldn't stop him. It's something in them that they're not taking control over.

Yea I can understand that, it's easy to get depressed around holidays. I mean being alone on Christmas or Thanksgiving is like spending your birthday by yourself. It sucks. I remember my step dad told me this, that it 's lonely around Christmas time, and he wasn't even an alcoholic. So I can't imagine the stress for someone who is in recovery and trying to stay sober around the holidays.
