I am here because my son is in rehab for marijuana addiction and abuse. He was 15 when he got mixed up with the wrong crowd. Luckily we have caught it before it got too far!

Melissa, this post is an excellent resource. I am going to click the link and bookmark it so that I can better understand this deadly drug. It is amazing that doctors actually prescribe medicines alongside it that make it's side effects that much more potent! You would think with all their studies that they would know that certain medications should not be prescribed together!

If I am not in a work setting, I am more free with my expression of my devotion to Jesus and admitting that I am Christian!

It is God alone and the power of His Holy Spirit that enables me to go forward faithful to His Word into a world that does not accept His Word so often!

I am here for my son, and we are in the beginning stages. My husband and I just found out that our son has been taking marijuana ..that is smoking it! He has for sometime seemed to walk a bit off balance at times and I thought he was suffering an inner ear problem but this was not the problem. He had been coming home from somewhere high on his smoking.

We found his stash in a sock in the dresser. He said he didnt know where it came from but I knew for some time something was not right but wished to respect his space. Now we are trying to arrange for some rehab and detox therapy.

Shopping is an addiction?

Can someone explain to me what it is they feel inside that makes them "compulsive shoppers"?

I have a friend that loves to shop and even shops when all she can do is look. She practically lives in goodwills, malls and stores coming home only to sleep.

Betty, yes your body is yours but what your body does..it's actions .. must follow societies guidelines. So if you are on crack and cocaine, you more then likely lose control at that time. You must not think only about what you are doing to "your body" but what you are doing to "your environment" "your neighborhood" "your family" and "your friends" . I know you love all these and so love for them may be the springboard to recovery you need.
