withdrawals are the hardest part of recovery and you never know when they're going to come and go. But your body is an amazing thing and it can over come anything!! so these withdrawals are just little bumps in the way and you'll get through them and live a happy sober life.

Your really strong to not go back and regain control of your money. I tried many times to have someone control my money. I had my sister hold all ym credit cards for me and I was only allowed $20 a day but after 3 days I went into her purrse and took them all back and went shopping!!! it was so hard!

I had a friend who has a casino about 10 minutes from her house. She was there everynight and for about a year she'd win so much! like she got hundreds of thousands of dollars all together from all the money she won. But then for about 2 months she started losing. Shes got some strong will because she gave up quick and even moved away to a house further awy from the casino. I admire her and how she had so much will and gave up her addiction so quick.

Wow thats amazing! Whyw ould a person even have kids if they were going to be raised in a drug house! They should've just given them up for adoption from the day they were born because either way theyre going to lose thier kids. And even if theyre going to be irresponsible enough to have drugs how can you keep it aorund your kids? And in places so easily accesible for the kids. Its so dangerous I really dont know how these people can be so careless!

one of my friends parents in high school didn't car what she did. She could go out whenever she wanted do what ever she wants everything. She was allowed to stay the night at her boyfriends in 9th grade! And they let her drink. The only rule for her was no drugs and no drinking and driving. She told us a story once where she was at a party really far away and she was really drunk so she called her parents to come pick her up, they said they were sleeping and for her to just sleep in her car and drive in the morning. Can you believe that????

imagine life as a fugitive though. no license no car, no credit car, or ID,or job. Imagine even health insurance :-/ that must suck. But I also think they should give her a break.

If shes responsible with paying off her stuff, and she will be making a big enough income then I think a credit card wouldn't be so bad.
Steps to getting over shopping addiction

1) Tell someone you trust about your spending habits.
Tell them in detail; admit how much you have spent shopping in the past six months, how much credit card debt you have, and just how far you have fallen from being a responsible spender.
2) Listen to what’s going through your mind when you’re faced with temptation.
Ask yourself what lies you may be telling yourself.
3) Find other ways to fill your time.
Schedule activities to fill the time to fill the time that you would usually find yourself shopping. Activities like playing softball, joining a book club, taking cooking classes, maybe going to the gym, anything.
4) Bring a buddy.
When you do shop, don’t shop alone.
5) Stop and think.
Before you buy something stop and ask yourself if you will still love it and not be able to live without it in six months.
6) Set spending goals for yourself.
When you find something that you really want but you can’t afford it, save up for it instead of wasting your money on frivolous things.
7) Find the joy in exercising self control.
The excitement of anticipating a healthy shopping trip is much more rewarding than draining your wallet every week just to get a fix immediately
Meth Coffee

Its an company based in san Francisco and has its own special brew of super-caffeinated coffee.  On its website its described as "a volatitherapeutic beverage.” It’s a blend of arabian and south american coffee beans with “dusting” of yerba mate. The yerba mate seems to have physiological effects that are different from coffee, it creates a mental state of wkefulness and alertness but without some of the negative effects of caffeine ( like heart palpitation and anxiety).
An attorney in illinoise is banning the sale of meth coffee in the state of illinois. She says the name glorifies the drug use. But the ban isn’t intimidating the makers, infact they posted up a response on their website,
"(Meth Coffee) was never marketed or sold in stores in Illinois, and it is now no longer available online for purchase from, or shipment to, Illinois. Meth Coffee was founded by a group of comedians, artists, and rebels, some of whom are in recovery from methamphetamines.
For us, recovery from addiction is no joke -- but Meth Coffee is."
What do you guys think of this? Personally I find nothing wrong with it and I don’t think it would glorify the drug I think it actually mocks the drug instead.
