I’ve always known that porn addictions are a pretty big deal
but never thought of them as that big. I never thought that a porn addiction
could ruin a marriage or ever become something serious. I thought people would
just sometimes use it for fun. Never get that serious. But I had to do a
project for school and my topic was porn addiction and wow is it big! But the
thing that surprised me the most wasn’t how big the addiction is and how many
people use it, but its how easily accessible porn is. Did you know that people
with phones that have internet can access porn any second of the day where ever
they are. And with the new Bluetooth technology even kids, elementary school
kids are sending videos to each other. Parents would never even think about
checking their child’s videos on their phone.
But not only phones are problems. I was doing my research at
the county library. And I most definitely do not live anywhere ghetto, or
careless. This library is a very, very nice one, two story, and brand new. They
have the nicest staff and you never see strange people walking in. But I was
researching porn addiction to write my paper and porn isn’t even blocked in the
library. I tried another 2 libraries around my area and none of them have
firewalls. Porn is easily accessible literally EVERYWHERE!!!

“It is ridiculous how many people are on prescription drugs these days.
There is a pill for everything. There are even pills for pills. We have pharmaceutical
sales representatives visiting our doctors constantly, trying to push their
pills in hopes of increasing sales, and ultimately increasing profits. Let’s
compare prescription drugs to perhaps the most widely used illegal street drug,
marijuana. The government won’t legalize marijuana because it says it is bad,
and that it is a gateway drug. I say the government doesn’t want the
competition.
How many people have overdosed on marijuana? Zero. The government knows that
if marijuana is legalized, people will not buy overpriced harmful pills at the
current rate. Some harmful side effects of prescription drugs are internal
bleeding, blood clots, increased blood pressure and of course, death, in
addition to many others. The side effects of marijuana are hunger, which may
lead to consumption of unhealthy junk food, and laughing for no reason. The
government hates laughter.
By no means am I endorsing the use of marijuana, but I do see a great deal
of hypocrisy in prohibiting a drug that is much less harmful than many legal
substances that are out there. Prescription drugs have taken over the lives of
Americans. People are indoctrinated to believe that lifestyle drugs, as well as
other drugs, are life-saving drugs. Every day on television, viewers are
bombarded with advertisements for allergy medicine, painkillers, medicines for
attention problems and hyper-activity, cold medicines; the list goes on and on.
There is a medication for every single “problem” people may have.”
I read this article and I totally agree with it. I’m not encouraging
marijuana but if people use that its just the same as an addiction to a “safe”
pill their doctors are prescribing them. It’s all the same. And people are just
getting more and more addicted to all sorts of medicines.
