I'm an internet fanatic addict!!!

I can never seem to get enough of the internet. I get on expecting only to check my email for a few minutes but then end up spending more than 3 hours doing a whole bunch of things and jsut entertaining myself with that. I sleep less and spend less time with my Fiance, friends and family. It's not that I'd rather choose a computer over them but its like I just cant get off! I've realised that if i cut my time with the internet I could make my life SO much better, and do much better things with that time. I dont want to grow old on the computer, I want to grow old with the ones that I love. I really need to stop. And I've also read that at-least one in 5 psychiatrists consider this a severe addiction, and a mental illness. Its a compulsive-impulsive disorder.

More security needed in pharmacy's

In Sevierville police are looking for someone who held up a pharmacy and stole OxyContin. It was an armed robbery and the suspect was described as a white male in his late 20’s or 30’s about 6 foot tall, 170 pounds, and a close cut brown/blonde hair. He had a hand gun, entered the store and demanded OxyContin pills from the pharmacy. He left with an undisclosed number of pills without incident.
Lol pharmacy’s should start putting those buttons under the counter like banks now ?.

I have never been to AA but I do believe that God will help anyone who asks for it and sincerely wants it. And since this was church based I do believe that they can all be sober and stay sober especially with the help of God

It's really hard for a parent to tell their kid not to eat. Especially when most the other kids around them are.

I think it's the same. But it could actually be harder for a woman because of they way she will be looked upon. With a man when he has an addiction although its hard for some poeple to process its even harder for a girl. People will look down upon a girl much more than they would a man.

What do you guys think is a healthy amount of time spent on a computer a week? I'm thinking 14, but that would be SOOO hard for me to accomlish, I spent about 42-44 hours a week.

I totally believe this, these drugs mess with your brain. Sure it may help you but it could also destroy you!

I think a parent must make sure that they are sober, responsible and fit to care for a child. It's a human being and the smallest things could ruin their lives. Why inflict big bad things upon them when we could prevent it.

Honestly, I could be very wrong about this, but I dont think they mean it when they say these things. I had a boyfriend who would always threaten to kill hisself whenever I broke up with him. And I fell ofr it everytime. It was the only thing that kept us together but he loved me so much. After a while I couldn't take it anymore and after breaking up during a fight I changed my number right away, and went out of town for two weeks to get away from him. He never killed hisself infact he's still alive now and putting another girl through the exact same things. But this was just a part of his personality, thats how he cries out for attention.

I think them joining could actually help them in many ways. They could end up coming home sober, and much better men. But if something does happen to them then thats faith, thats what God has written for them and we all need to accept that.

I know this is a bit late of a reply, but I cannot seem to find your post in the Mental Health section. I know a friend who would love to read something about this, as she is doing a research on this exact topic for school.

I found it...

"A doctor in northern Sweden has been
given a warning for giving a poisonous overdose of antidepressants to a
patient. Five patients in the hospital were given anti-depressant doses that
were found to be too strong.

The worst affected patient is a young man who had never been in contact with
the psychiatrist before. Based on little information, the doctor gave him a
dose that was too much for his body to cope with. The doctor explained that he
wanted to help the patients “as effectively as possible”, although he admitted
that other people working in the clinic have tried to discourage him from
giving such doses.

The head of the clinic reported the doctor to the national healthcare board and
suspended him from his job. The board ruled that the doctor should receive an
official warning."

I'm so sorry about your loss :( I wish I could say something to make things better.
I can't wait untill this stupid war is over and all our troops are brought home, no more deaths that could have been prevented and no more worrying about family and friends a million miles away. These men are the bravest though, especially your bf who risked his own life to save three others. I sincerely wish the very best.

I think he may have to see a psychologist. I'm sure the stuff he saw and went through in Iraq were horrible, and getting over them will be very hard. He will need proffesional help.
