RIP Heath Ledger

Incase you haven’t heard Heath Ledger died on Jan 22nd.
Police still don’t know exactly what caused the death but they think it was a
drug overdose. He was having a masseuse come over and when she walked him she
found him dead, lying naked on the floor. There were several prescription drugs
including sleeping pills at the scene. Also a rolled up $20 bill, but the $20
bill had no traces of cocaine. They also found 6 european percription drugs at
his apartment. Zopiclone, Diazepam, Lormetazepam, Temazepam, Alprazolam and
Donormyl-doxylamine. One was an antihistamine and the other five were either
sleeping aids (similar to Ambien) or anti-anxiety drugs (similar to Valium).

All of these medications depress the central nervous
system—which can lead to death if taken in the wrong quantities or combinations.
You just fall asleep and stop breathing if you take too much for you. We won’t
find out exactly how he died for a few more days for the toxicology reports.

RIP Heath

I'm new on here. I used to be addicted to sleeping pills. I couldn't sleep without them for 3 years. It was hell getting through it but now a simple glass of milk can put me to sleep like it used to. It may not be a hard substance addiction but it was pretty hard for me to get through it.
Also I party a lot and all my friends do. I feel i can control my self but a lot of my friends cant and I would like to find ways to help them. Maybe I can give and get support off this site. My names Sonny by the way. =)

It seems like your portraying it as your fault and it really isn't. Once your addicted its really hard to stop. Even if you did help it might've not done much. I believe in faith and this was your brothers faith. He was meant to die on that day and hes in a better place now.

I prefer the real thing instead of Hentai. Its like comparing watching WWE when you know its all fake to UFC when its all real. Ofcourse UFC is much better.

Its not an addiction but if you lost someone due to an addiction this is a good thread. Or if you lost someone and your depression could lead you to an addiction, its also a good thread. Or if you just need advice on how to get over your grief, its also a good thread. I like that theres one of these on here.

I've heard of girls drinking mineral oil after they eat too much because thats supposed to act as a natural laxative. Do you think that would be healthy?
Lol when I was gaining some weight I tried doing it but that stuff is so thick and slimy with no taste or smell I wanted to gag! It did work though. But after that one day of taking it I never took it again. I'd rather be chubby lol.

The high school I went to you were suspended for a week if you were caught with ciggs, and if caught again expelled. So people didn't really smoke much at school. However we had an offcampus lunch for seniors and the smokers would smoke, but if a teacher saw them, even if they were off campus since it was school hours they would get the same punishment. That prevented a lot of kids from smoking.
In college though so many people smoke outside that even the ones that never smoked in high school started smoking a pack a day in first year.
Re: How do you think that casinos should deal with those with gambling addictions?

I dont think casinos will ever do anything to help with this addiction! Because the addicted gambler is just giving them more money, if they kick them out the gambler is just going to go to another casino and that casino will make more money. I doubt casino owners care at all about the gamblers well being, all they care about is theyre making millions off of them.
