I've had a problem with heroin for about 2 years and I dont even know the first step of quitting. I tried many times just telling my self I wont do any today but somehow my words shatter and I end up taking more than usual. any advice??

I think quitting is just hard for them. They dont know that they are as addicted as they are and when they try to quit they cant.

I never imagine a senior citizen doing drugs. Even myself I always think that in ten years i'll somehow be over this addiction and be a normal old man with grandkids. Or little kids, I think thats so sad. I see teenagers messing up their lives and being addicted and spending so many of their youth years being troubled with drugs but starting off at that young, before hitting your teen years is just so sad.

I dont know if your willing to do this but I am and I think it helps me a lot. Move back in with your parents, just for a little while have them help you stay sober and during that time get back on your feet financialy. Find a good job pay off some of your debts and after a few months find your own place. Keep your self busy with your family and supportive friends and your work. I think thats the best you could do. Thats what I'm trying to do.

I think this could help some people. I hate going to NA meetings and I hate having everyone look at me and know that I am an addict. I'm ashamed of it. I'm embarassed that one day they see me walking down the street and say "hey that guy was a heroin addict I saw him in NA" I think a virtual meeting would be so much better and it would help me a lot.

I dont think you need alcohol to have fun. Drink an energy drink get hyper enjoy the music the fact that you know whats going on and everyone around you is too drunk to notice and just enjoy your life. And you dont need to party to have fun theres a bunch of other things you could do without patying.
