My grandkids

My grandkids live with me, the girl Kate is 14 and the boy Ben is 16. I found out that both of them have been abusing drugs. I broke my leg a few months ago and was perscribed vicodin, I only used two pills and recently I found the bottle was almost empty. I know they have been using it because I found pills in their pockets as I was doing the laundry. I also suspect they have been smoking marijuana because theyve came home a few times smelling of it, eating a lot and their eyes were bright red. I know the sigsn because my daughter, their mother also abused these drugs and crystal meth. I love my grandkids more than anything and I want the best for them. I dont want them making the same mistake as their mother. How can i prevent this. everything I tried with their mother didn't work and I dont know what to do with them .

They still have the chocolate candy cigarettes. I see those every now and then. they are in boxes that look just like cigarette boxes too.

I do not consider it gambling, it is a market and people can make predictions from past actions, you cannot do that on bets, stocks have risks but they can be analyzed before they are bought/sold :)

cant you also kind of analayze a player on a bet... like if your betting on a pool game you know how the player is from playing with them in the past and you know how good they are compared to the opponent, ur still betting on it. I understand how some may think the stock market is liek gambling and honestly I dont think it is, but I get it hehe.

I'm a grandma and I'm trying to stop my grandkids from becoming addicts. I know they are using drugs because I've found painkiller in their pockets and I know they are getting high because I've seen all the signs on them lots of times. However when I mention it to them they deny it or find excuses. Those are the drugs that I know of and I'm scared to think of all the other drugs they could be using. And what scares me more is I really dont know how to stop them.

I've found that grounding them and only allowing them to go places with me has helped a little bit. But eventually they start using again.

Once I went to starbucks with a friend and I had chinese food, I was told to eat it outside because they wanted the store to smell like coffee for the customers... I think thats actually smart because when I walk in with a friend and I dont want any coffee but once I smell it I start craving it also.
