I just got here myself. I don't see my addiction in a topic; but, I am addicted to tv. I can watch it 24 hours straight. I have to eat in front of tv etc.

I am happy to find such a site as this and look forward to more interraction here.

I love to eat when I am watching tv; which I believe is my addiction. I tend to like to eat chips and dip.

My wife says I probably came into this world with a remote in my hand. Whenever I am not doing anything else I am sitting before the big screen. She, my wife, says that no one can ever speak to me since I am all absorbed into my television programs.

For me TV is my escape from all the nagging and noise.

I have a problem with my tv addiction, as I have mentioned elsewhere. My love for TV has alienated me from my family and children.

This past weekend I decided to substitute my time in front of the "old bube tube" with time for my family. We pulled out the monopoly one evening and then the other evening we went out for a walk then out to eat.

I must say, I found out more about my family then I ever had before. I didn't realize how much I was missing out. I am presently just in the beginning stage; but, at least, I know what it is I have to do.

I never realized that "control" played such a factor in determining whether or not something is an addictiong or not!

I came here since I feel my attachment to my tv and inability to communicate with my family because of it, contitutes an addiction for me. I am addicted to TV. I know it sounds strange but it's true. I am attempting to overcome this.

I never thought of smoking as an addiction. It is a habit. Regretfully it is also part of me. I do smoke when I sit and watch tv. I forgot about this!

I am convinced that my attachment to TV is an addiction. I am sure that if I have this problem..addiciton to TV. .others must have this too. Is it an addiction or not. Would be nice to see a catgegory for TV.
