I have a problem with drinking diet soda. I drink it like its water. And water is too plain for me so I just keep clenching my thirst with diet pepsi. I know its bad for me even though its diet but I just cant stop!! I dont know if its just the caffein I'm used to or what but whenever I try I get the worst headaches. Has this ever happened to anyone??

DIET SODA
Diet drinkers actually weigh more than regular soda drinkers. The risk of becoming overweight is 57 % for diet drinkers than 46 % for regular soda drinkers. Diet soda may throw off your natural appetite regulation causing you to eat more sweets. It may also trick you into thinking that it is ok to eat high calorie foods because you saved a few by drinking diet.

PRETZELS
They may say fat free and look like a better alternative to chips but they’re made with white flour stripped off its vitamins and antioxidants. They’re also dense so they pack lots of carb calories for a very small amount and they’re not filling. One 15 ounce bag of pretzels contains the equivalent of 24 slices of white bread!

SPINACH WRAPS
It looks green and healty but spinach is only a scant ingredient. Its made with refined white flower and the green comes from food coloring. And it is much higher in calories so you can rely on the immune boosting vitamins in spinach. The fillings often also have fried chicken, ranch dressing, cheese and bacon!

BLUEBERRY
A trans fat free blueberry scone has over 400 calories. 400 calories is how much an entire meal should apply, and that’s also over 50% of the maximum amount of artery clogging saturated fat intake for an entire day. They also don’t count as  a serving of fruit.

VITAMIN WATER
It has vitamins but also up to 200 calories per bottle. One of these a day can cause a 20 pound weight gain in a years time if the calories aren’t burnt off.

I think porn could be one of the hardest addictions to over come. Once a person has become addicted to it and then recovers they're still going to be surrounded by it. Every movie there is theres a sex scene and its so easily accesible on the internet and the internet is all around us! But its a bad addiction and should be helped.

I wouldn't be able to get through any of my tough times if god hadn't carried me. I know he's always always with me.

I think that if she gets a credit card but then has the bank put her at a really low limit and shes serponsible enough to not ask for higher than that could be OK. But shes also got to make sure that she has a good job that will be able to pay off all these things.

I think hes an addict but an addict that just likes to fill up his collection. What I dont get is when people have all those toys and they have them all stacked on the shelves neatly, how do they dust all of them?? I went over a friends house once and he had soo many of those action figures. His TV room was a TV and shelves all around it and the shelves were big and long and they were all filled with action figures all the way to the ceiling. I was amazed really.

The dangers of grapefruit juice

Grapefruit contains chemicals that can cause problems with the enzymes that break down certain types of medicines in your intestines. Those include,

  • Abnormal heart rhythm.

  • Allergies.

  • Anxiety.

  • Asthma.

  • Blood clots.

  • Cancer.

  • Cough.

  • Depression.

  • Emphysema.

  • Epilepsy.

  • Erectile dysfunction.

  • Heart attack or heart disease.

  • High blood pressure.

  • High cholesterol.

  • HIV.

  • Infection.

  • Pain.

  • Enlarged prostate.

  • Stroke.

alessandra said: These sites are absolute trash.  All they require is a credit card number.. no prescription, nothing!  And once you buy from them, they send you all kinds of advertisements and sales on their pills.  It makes it hard for recovering addicts to stay clean because it's like habing a drug dealer knocking on your door.  It's way too easy.

they send you advertisements on their pills? Wow that sounds like when women buy makeup and they keep sending advertisements hoping they'd go buy more! thats crazy

Tragic Story

Harrison Neal was a 17 year old with an ideal life. 3.5 GPA, middle class loving family, tons of good friends, and a beautiful girlfriend.  But he is one of a growing list of victims lost from prescription pill addiction.  His family was aware of this addiction and supported him in his struggle to overcome it. In 2006 after Harrison was involved in a minor car accident his father insisted he take a drug test and the screen came back positive. Harrison then admitted that he had a serious problem with prescription medications. They got him into treatment within a week but the powers of addiction won.
After spending the afternoon deer hunting with his dad Harrison went out with his friends. He had a couple of drinks, took some prescription drugs, and over the counter cold medicine he was taking for a cold he was fighting. He went to sleep and he never woke up.

But Harrisons tragic story is not the only one there are many like this and all teens believe that prescription drugs are safer than street drugs. They think,”‘It’s in a bottle; it's prescribed for someone, so how can this be as bad for me as cocaine.”  But the fact is it can be. Because the profile, particularly when it’s mixed with alcohol and other meds, is completely unpredictable. And we're talking about kids that wouldn't necessarily consider themselves to be an addict. But you don't have to be an addict to die from this. You just have to do it once.
