addiction or obsession?

Many of us wonder whether were addiction or if it’s just an obsession. Well the easiest way to determine this is to question yourself, is your behavior interfering with your career, relationships, finances, or health? Then it is no longer normal and probably is an addiction. Addicts have almost no control over their behaviors and are irresistibly drawn to certain habits regardless of the potential harm. Another sign of addiction is distress, anxiety and mild depression if you quit your behavior.

When your sober you know when your having fun, and your doing it in a healthy way. Your naturally happy, drugs aren't making you like this your making yourself. You realise that all that time lost by spending it high and drunk was useless and no feeling is better than being sober. Your worst day sober is better than your best day under the influence.

If your referring to celebrities as "rich people" I think they have the worst chances recovering and staying sober. Even when they have so many problems on their minds, the media and paparazzi come in and make it even worse on them. How is it ever possible to get sober when you have something like that on your shoulders. I think its amazing when some celebrities do it. But if your referring to rich people as just average rich people I think they have a higher chance of recovery because they can afford the best. Poor people may not think about the programs that could pay for their recovery or that their insurance could pay for it, so they don't even try and recovery is very hard for them. And like you said it could lead them into criminal activity's and they'll end up getting caught with that in the end. It could just all together ruin their lives.

I dont think a club like that should be acceptable either. I think thats definitely wrong. No clubs that promote drinking should be allowed, a university should promote a positive educational clubs, or even if not educational clubs that discourage drugs and alcohol. They should try their hardest to keep their stuends away from drugs and alcohol and focussed on other, better things.

Corey said: The toxic chemicals in crystal methamphetamine literally eat away brain tissue. Crystal meth literally puts holes in your brain.  When addicts talk about their drug use, to them it means nothing.  You absolutely lose the ability to learn from past mistakes or to care about anything.  And it's not because you're just choosing bad behavior, it's because your brain no longer works.  And this can be permanent.  That's why it's so important to get treatment. Meth addicts go days without eating which causes drug-induced anorexia.  The body is forced to start feeding on itself, first the fat, then muscle.

Imagine how bad it is for the 9 year olds addicted to meth! Thats crazy

I don''t think its the spouses fault at all. I think that''s just an excuse that every cheater uses. Even if there are spouses who aren''t giving much appreciation to the cheater that still doesn''t make it OK for them to cheat. They should talk about it and find a solution. But mostly all the cheaters that do say that are making up an excuse. I was with my boyfriend for 3 years, and I don''t think he''ll ever find anyone who appreciated him more than me and showed him more attention than I did. I know he loves me but thats just the way he is. He loves girls and no matter what I do or anyone does he''s never going to stop. He cant be committed to one girl because he loves the thrill of getting a whole bunch. He''s just a cheater and he''ll never grow out of it. Like that saying says, once a cheater always a cheater.
making prostitution legal

San Francisco wants to make prostitution. Voters will be voting for Prostitution K next month. They want it to be illegal for local law enforcement to investigate arrest or prosecute anyone for selling sex.  Proponents say the measure will free up $11 million the police spend each year arresting prostitutes.
I don’t think this is right, and I really hope that it doesn’t pass.

teachers and myspace

They were talking on the radio about teachers having a MySpace. A few teachers called in and told the radio talk show host about how they were threatened if they didn’t delete their MySpace that they could lose their jobs. Apparently students often search for their teachers on MySpace and one teacher got in trouble for having indecent pictures of her in a bikini, and of her drinking and dancing. One of the teachers said she has a MySpace but she doesn’t add any of her students and she keeps her main picture as a cartoon character. I think it should be OK for a teacher to have a MySpace, it’s their lives them being a teacher shouldn’t stop them from that. I just don’t think it should be left un-private or that a teacher should add any students. Do you guys think it’s wrong for a teacher to have a MySpace?

I was tlaking to him and he said he keeps 2 ipods with him at all times and he's already had to replace both of them 3 times. He has the 60 gb one, and he said he has to keep shuffeling music because its not enough room. I thought that was crazy!!!! And he buys all his music. He said he spends around $80-$90 a month on music!

I dont understand why he doesn't just download his music!

Thats also kind of mean though taking the baby away from its mother when its first born. She should've been allowed to stay with her baby the whole time, its hers. But if it was unsafe for the child to stay under her custody then they should've found someone who could supervise them both. But comeon have a heart, its her child, she just gave birth to it. I know I wouldn't be able to part from my baby not even for a minute.

Is he old? My grandpa is the exact same way I think they jsut get more stubborn the older they get. My grandpa has a serious case of diabetes, like really bad diabetes but he sits there and just eats soooo much chocolate. He keeps a little fridge in his room full of chocolate and will not and refuses to stay away from it. Its bad for his health and that much sugar could be fatal to him but he wont stop. We all get so worried about it but when we try to keep it away from it he puts us through hell that we regret helping him at all. We just let him do whatever and when hes in the hospital its his fault. You cant really control an addict, whether its a smoking addict or a chocolate addict like my grandpa. Theres nothing you can really do but pray to God that they'll be OK because no matter what you say they wont stop.

Sometimes people just have stomach problems too and it gives them really bad breath. My step sister was like this. She would get a lot of stomach problems like she'd throw up very easily and get tummy aches easily. And her breath always stank. She would brush her teeth I knew that because we would brush together and she showers. I actually haven't seen her in a few years so I dont know if it went away but she was 15 the last time I saw her and she still had the same problem.

When a person doesn't eat much their stomach starts developing so much acid and that also makes some people have a really bad stench to their breath.

•    Give yourself a few days to pine.
•    Surround yourself with loved ones- they will selflessly rush to our aid. They may not take responsibility for an infinite period but will do their best for the first few days that follow. Allow them to take over because you’re going to be in a state of shock and they can function a hundred times better than you.  They’ll also help you feel a bit better. Although you may want to be alone it’s better not to because it reminds you that although you lost a loved one, your blessed with more
•    Take note that the person is dead- no amount of self-blame or anger can bring the person back and that they’re gone for good. Comfort yourself with the fact that when the person was alive that you were good to them, you spent time with them; you loved them and did all you could.
•    Realize that death never changes the relationship we’ve had- the memories we have of the person who’s now gone will always stay the same and becomes even more precious with time.
•    Talk about it- when enough time has elapsed and life becomes a bit normal again spend time and talk about your grief with someone that would listen. Someone who’s been through the same experience is always better. This is a necessary process by which we would start to accept our loss.

I think its really good that you didn't let what they said get to you. If your happy with your body then thats all that matters. Stay with it. As long as the whole world isn't telling you your too skinny and you really dont have an eating problem then who cares about any of them. That overweight mother is probably just jealous since your not as big as her daughter. I hate people like that, I dont get why they can't just be happy for others and not want to bring them down all the time.

I remember kids who had parents like this. Mine weren't like that, they were only there when needed and while I was at school was not a time where they were needed. But I also remember parents that stand outside their kids classrooms about 15 minutes before its time to get out. I always thought those parents were crazy. They could wait out in the car their kids are in a safe environment.

The Year of the Dragon 1976

Beautiful and bright was the Young Dragon.

Capable and caring,
Sensitive but strong,
The life of the Young Dragon
Couldn't go wrong.

Upright and steadfast,
Courageous with might,
Who knew the Dragon
Would get lost in the night.

For the Dragon met Tiger,
Who lured him away,
Into the jungle
Of life's tumultuous way.

Down the path of
Destruction, sorrow and woes,
Down the path of
Seduction, deceit and morose.

The Tiger made promises
Which led Dragon astray,
Away from his mother, siblings and wife,
Away from the people who'd given him life.

Deep into the jungle
Dragon followed Tiger.
Farther off the path of the good life
Deeper on the road of sorrow and strife.

And when the Dragon was
Broken, desolate and alone,
Looking through bars
At the life that he'd known,

Tiger smiled and nodded his head,
For the beautiful Dragon
Was standing alone
Far from his life, his family and home.

But Tiger underestimated
The Spirit of love,
Looking out for Dragon
From high up above.

Spirit opened doors
By providing the keys,
All Dragon had to do
Was reach for these.

Be strong Young Dragon,
Do what you must,
Before vicious Tiger,
Turns you to dust.

Reject all he offers,
Come back to the way.
We're waiting Dear Dragon,
Please join us today.

Come back from the jungle,
The Tiger and harm.
We're waiting Dear Dragon,
With wide-open arms.

The path will be twisted,
And hardships abound,
With determination as your companion,
You'll gain the high ground.

Your new life awaits you,
Grab on and demand
That the Tiger who holds you,
Desist and disband.

Shuck off your demons,
Dig deep down inside,
And know that the Spirit
Has nothing but pride.

Pride for the Dragon
Who was led astray,
Because Dragon has the courage
To keep Tiger at bay.
