JasonT said: You're right about that, heroin is one of the worst drugs to turn to.  Users become highly addicted both mentally and chemically, it's sad how fast you can lose everything.  Even though heroin comes cheap, maybe even $2 a hit, you start needing more and more of those hits.  It's nearly impossible to hold onto a job while using such a harsh drug... so, addicts end up jobless and eventually homeless.  A lot of these heroin users are prescription drug addicts also, and turning to a cheaper method of getting their drugs.  Oxycontin no longer manufactured in a way that it can snorted or injected.  I'm sure a large number of Oxy addicts, especially are turning to heroin, which is basically just the street version of the same opiate.

I read about how oxycontin is now manufactured in a way where it cant be abused and I think that's really great. All the other prescription painkiller companies should do the same. I believe it could be a lot better in the long run. I'm sure all the addicts who are dependent on these drugs may turn to heroin but it could also prevent a lot of people from becoming opiate addicts in the first place.
Trafficking Chocolate

I was reading this article and I thought it was pretty funny but stil unfair. A couple was traveling from Canada to the United States and they had raw chocolate with them. There were drug sniffing dogs in the airport and they stopped them and arrested them. They thought the chocolate was actually hashish. They took away their 6 month old baby and separated the husband and wife and interrogated them. They threatened them with life in prison, and even told them that the other already admitted there were drugs. They tested the chocolate with a NIK drug testing kit and it turned out positive. However it turns out that the NIK drug testing kits return false positives nearly 100% of the time if the results are interpreted incorrectly.
They were later let out on bail and their baby was returned to them. They got a lawyer and the lawyer sent samples of their chocolate to a proper lab, where it turned out it really was chocolate. The couple had to pay $22,000 in legal bills and then another $10,000 to clear up their name in America. Canada didn’t even apologize or compensate them for all the bills they have to pay instead all they said was “you must’ve been smoking something before you came into the airport.”

Have you ever seen someone have a nicotine fit?  It's kind of funny, especially to a nonsmoker.  My aunt is extremely restless, jumpy, and jittery on the way to the store to get her cigarettes.  It's literally all she can think about, any conversation is about cigarettes and how she really, really needs one!

I have a friend who is usually so talkative and chatty and happy, but when she doesn't have her nicotine she's so silent she wont say one word. It's all thats on her mind. It's pretty bad too because she's only 16

Alcohol is the root cause of so many problems. Life is so much better without it. It may give you like a few hours of fun when you and all your friends are drunk together but usually most people who are drunk do or say one thing that they end up regretting. But many poeple think that since their family and friends all drink that they cant stop because its a part of their lives and they're always surrounded by it, but thats not true at all. Its your life and you have the power to change it and make it so much better than everybody elses.

Alessandras right. Through out her recovery, don't make things hard for her. Even if there are things that are bothering you so much dont stress her out with it. Focus on getting her sober and getting her used to staying sober. She'll find other ways to cope with things instead of drinking them away. She'll be much healthier and better in so many ways and when she's better she will be able to work on your relationship issues better.

Wow she wouldn't even leave a burning building just so she could smoke. She was risking her body guards life too! What happened to her now? is she sober? Or is she still getting there?

I think any animal that can sense your pain could help you. Sometimes it just feels better than a human because its something that you usually take care of, and they cant talk to you but yet they'll try to do so many things to cheer you up. My cat never lets me pet her but when she see's that I'm in a sad mood she'll sit on me and purr and then just start playing right next to me, when normally she doesn't even get close to me.

When I was with my girlfriend we had eachothers passwords and she would always read my messages before I did and my comments everything. I couldn't complain though because I did the same to her. She had me going crazy because at first I wouldn't check her stuff much but when I did a few times I found out a few things she was hiding. It got really crazy though to the point where she would reply back to peoples messages on my site and I'd comment people back from hers. Our relationship didn't end up working out but it made me feel like maybe life is sometimes better without myspace.

I'm actually not that big on checking my emails. I can probably go about a week without any internet. However its my texting habit that I have a problem with. I will text all throughout the night. Even if im like half asleep i'll still text.

I dont think theres a reason for cheating. It's just a messed up person. The cheater typically doesn't enjoy being faithful, they like the single life they like being able to hook up with whoever they want, but at the same time they love the person they're with and they dont want to lose them. They try to still have both, the single life and the person they love. However cheaters are selfish people, they dont stop and think about how their spouse is going to get hurt, all they think about is how they wanna have fun. I think cheating is the worst thing a person can do. It's so hurtful and the pain you put your partnet through is unbearable, even if the partnet forgives them they stay hurt about it and that hurt never goes away.

I dont think these people think about the fact that someone in their family will see it. They just think its a good oppurtunity for them or they just wanna do it and they do. The consequences probably dont even come to mind.

I heard of a chinese method I dont know what its called but theres like points on the inside of your hand and the bottom of your foot which targets like parts of your body. there are many different points on your hands and feet that you could just apply pressure on a point with a special thin stick and it helps that part of your body, It could help anything from pain to constipation. the points could lead to any part of your body, theres points for your eye, for your nose, for your intestines everything and this stuff actually works. You cant do it yourself tho, you need to have a professional do it or teach you how.

Rewards will always motivate a person, Its like when your a kid and your parents give you money for every A you get, its your motivation and it keeps you aiming for it. If a person can get rewarded for being sober I'm sure that it is going to motivate them. Then after a while they end up getting used to staying sober and they will start realizing how much better their life is sober. A little motivation could take you to great places.

It ususally takes something big like this to happen for a person to realize just how much his addiction is taking control of his life. It's so good though that he's been sober for 8 days!!! I think thats amazing, I think you should do your best to support him. Help him out, hang out with him drive him around even if he doesn't need to go somewhere take him out. Show him how happy you are that he stopped drinking. I'm happy for you :)

My cousins parents are really strict. They wont let her date and barely even go out. She doesn't get to hang out with her boyfriend very much so she does so during school. She asked me to call in a few times as her dad and I did it for her, but then it started getting completely out of hand. She would have me call her in a pass for 1030 and then she'd be out all day on a "doctors appointment" and jsut come back when its time for her mom to pick her up. I felt bad for her because thats the only time that she would get to hang out with her boyfriend but now its getting totally out of hand. She'll have me do it twice a week and even the school is starting to pick up on it, they want doctors notes now and they're saying they insist on one. I told her I'm not going to be able to do it for a long time because its obvious the shcool knows shes not going to doctor appointments. She agreed but then asked for me to call in for her the next day because her boyfriend was tripping out over something. I dont answer her calls or texts throughout the day anymore. She's going to ruin her life with this.

Did she claim insanity? Usually thats why people who kill their family members get less years than someone who kills a stranger, because no body would usually kill a family member unless they're insane. I hope she regrets it for the rest of her life, spends everyday of her life rmembering it and suffering from that. Thats what she deserves, a life of misery for killing her daughter.

Vantage point is a reeeally good movie. Its about how someone shot the president and it just shows you the scene in many different peoples eyes that were in the crowd as the president gives the speech. And its very intense, one of those movies that keep you at the edge of your seat.
Book Addiction

I always get addicted whenever I pick up a new book. I just cant put it down. I read it as soon as a I first open my eyes, and right before bed, during lunch, in between classes some times when I'm at a really good part I'll even read it as I'm driving. So I kind of try to stay away from books lately because I put off my homework and get an urge to call in sick to work. But I just started reading twighlight. A friend recommended it to me, I thought it sounded kind of stupid. A book about a girl falling in love with a vampire, but the movie is coming out and I thought I'd just read it so I can watch the movie too. I started reading on sunday and in one day I read 300 pages. I just cant put it down!! I'm at the library right now without the book, so that I would study. Im doing a little procrastination here, but I definitely!!!! recommend it. However I think my book addiction gets a bit out of hand sometimes. Does anyone else suffer from this?
