Marijuana leads to stroke and heart problems??

Usually when we think of the side effects of marijuana we think, munchies! And long term side effects, maybe some psychological disorders, which aren’t yet proven. But a new study shows that heavy marijuana use may increase your risks of heart attack, heart disease and stroke. The levels of a protein called apolipoprotien C-III in long term marijuana users are found to be 30% higher. This protein is involved with a type of fat found in the blood, and higher levels of the protein makes higher levels of that fat. This can contribute to hardening of the arteries or thickening of the artery walls.
But the tests they ran were on users that averaged smoking 78-350 joints per week. Anything in excess can cause great damage, whether this marijuana, alcohol, or even lettuce.

Now that I think about it, that is true. The most depressive time of my life was when I smoked. I just wanted my life to be over, I wanted more attention and I would just get really sad but I never linked it to marijuana. I didn't get sad like right after I smoked, not at all. But around that time period really were my sad times.

Nacho said: Actually I think that was President Clinton.  First he said he touched the joint to his lips but didn't inhale it, then he said yes, I smoked marijuana.  I'm not sure if President Bush has though??

lol I'm sure he has, can u imagine Bush high ahahha! I know Obama admitted too. I think its brave when presidents admit it, and its better if they have tried it because then it puts them with a better perspective of the whole community, the part that has done drugs, is on drugs, or has no relationship with drugs.
I dont like what they're doing to Angie though, thats pure blackmail, I would sue if I was her.

This may sound lame, but I do the pros and cons list. And I focus more on the cons. It makes me feel better. Then if I really cant get over the person i cut out the pros part and just keep the cons. Talking to my friends about it helps, but I really dont like how some of my friends will point out things that were my fault in the relationship, like if I gave her another chance and they think its wrong, then I point out good things about her to make my self look better and it makes me miss her more. I hate breakups. But I did do the whole sex rampage thing. I was in a relationship for 2 years, I just wanted to piss her off I slept with 12 girls in 4 months. I regret it now, I guess I was looking for infatuation in the completely wrong place.

Theres also a lot of other things that are in cosmo though, not just the sex acts. My mother used to buy them and leave them in our bathroom. I would read them but not just the sex tips other things. They had some interesting stuff and I'm a guy.. Embarassing for a guy to be reading these but whatever.  But I would talk to your sister if I was you. Maybe shes interested in having sex but shes not quite sure and she thinks she'll get her answer from these magazines.

I wonder how all of this would have gotten started. Like did the disgusting perverted old doctor mention it to a patient in a discreet way and then she agreed? Or do you think the patient would have come on to the doctor and ofcourse being such a perve him agree? Eww thats so gross.

If he killed his family that young I'm sure he must've had some psychological problem. The kid needs to be getting help not just put in jail. I do agree that is way too long of a sentence for a 12 year old.

My mom gets sun spots too. But she spends a lot of time gardening in the sunlight and she wears her dorky straw hat. But when she goes out in public she doesn't. I realsie with her though when she stays home all day she does get a bit depressed, but if she is out and in the sun she is a bit more cheerful.

If they're relying on drugs and not able to get off of it then they shouldn't be endagering their kids like that. They could've put their kid out for adoption and that would've been a lot better for the child, they could've asked to visit whenever they wanted. But having that many kids all in one house hold with 2 drug dealers and drugs in hands reach is definately not a place where a child should grow up.

As long as she said she quit then that counts for a lot. If she was addicted she woudn't have any intentions on quitting. Help her and make sure she does. Everything will be alright.

Dozens of San Diego State University students were arrested after a drug investigation found that some fraternity members openly dealt drugs and even sent out mass text message advertising cocaine. A member of the Theta Chi sent out the message to his “faithful customers” stating that he and his associates would be unable to sell cocaine while they were in Las Vegas over the weekend, and listed the reduced prices of cocaine. Police found two kilos of cocaine, 350 Ecstasy pills, marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, hash oil, methamphetamine, prescription drugs, several guns and at least $60,000 in cash.  Of the 96 people arrested, 75 of them were students.
The search was sparked after a cocaine overdose lead to a death of a student in 2007, and another one died on Feb 26 off a cocaine overdose too in a fraternity house. Of those students arrested one was about to receive a criminal justice degree and another a masters degree in home land security. A sad commentary is that one of these individuals that were arrested asked whether or not his arrest and incarceration would have an effect on him being a federal law enforcement officer.
I think his comment was pretty funny. But that is soo much drugs found. It’s pretty sad, these kids were at a good school and getting a good education in one of the prettiest cities in the world and they totally ruined it for themselves.

  • Ignores responsibilities like work and school

I know a guy that commited scuicide by drowning himself in the pool. He did his homework, dried the dishes like he was supposed to, cleaned his room and wrote a note to his parents saying "I'm sorry for everything i cant live anymore". But his parents say he never did anything to hurt them or anything to be sorry for. He didn't ignore his responsibilities and his suicide was unforseen.

I think he probably had a  mental problem, not somethng out of depression.

I kind of got teased  when I was a kid but it never really got to me much. ITs crazy though because although I totally hated it when I was a kid, I never did anything to hurt them back or said anything mean, but i jsut wished them the worst and its crazy how God works his wonders. Because once I got into high school, I was the popular one and the one that got all the girls while all the ones who picked on me were the ones being picked on. I am true proof of Karma!!!

I really would rather die than throw up. Everytime I feel nausiated I sit and pray for it to go away and drink z-up or do whatver just for it to go away. I have a phobia of throwing up.

Usually dancers, of all types are thought of to have a thin body. Ballet dancers, like a rubber band, flat all over and flexible. Hip hop are allowed to have a big butt but the rest of their bodies are usually tiny.  And so on.. But dancers are usually skinny. However I was watching Dancing with the Stars and one of the dancers, Marissa isn’t skinny at all. But she is one of the best and has made it so far. She could actually be better than the skinny girls and I think it’s really great that a heavy girl is proving the stereotypical world wrong!

What is the difference between a drunk person and a stoned person when it comes to a stop sign? A drunk person will run right though it and a stoned person will wait for it to turn green!

God has crazy ways that solve everything and make us better people. It may seem like your whole life is falling apart, and everything is going wrong, but parts of the things that are so wrong are etremely beneficial for you in ways you may never realise. Example, getting a DUI is horrible, its on your record, you have to go to jail and pay so much, but in the end it could teach you a lesson and lead you to a much better life. Everytime something goes wrong something great comes along hidden behind it.
