Good cause or bad, an addiction is a psychological dependence on a certain object, physical or otherwise. If you experience withdrawal, then yes, you're additcted.

I think people get addicted to the internet just because the world is so boring these days.

I think that if you've been addicted in the past, you'll become addicted again much more easily. I don't think an addiction can truly go away, you can get rid of the withdrawal and cravings, but not the addiction itself.

And yeah, I agree with you completely. What kind of idiot drives if he can't even stand? Just call a taxi, easier, and it wont cost much. Drunk driving can cost a liscense, and a life as well.

FYI; Firewalls prevent hacking, not porn.

Also, how did you know that it wasn't blocked? Unless you went to the site, there isn't a way to tell. Thumbnails on Google can only be blocked by blocking images from Google. Also, most internet filters cause more problems than they prevent.

Yeah, it is easy to get a hold of porn these days, from certain tabloids, magazines, and some sites. Even artistic nude at the museum if you want to stretch it a bit.

And I mean having sexy, naked women advertise products, services and all that kind of thing. What are your thoughts?

My own opinion on sex is rather liberal as the Americans put it, but I think that using a nude or skimpy model to advertise something is just demeaning to women. One ad in Europe was using a naked model to advertise the PS3.

Dunno why they do it though, it's not as though you get a free pinup of her when you order. Although, a billboard with a naked woman would turn heads. And cause accidents. <_<

One guy I know, he takes great pride in his looks, and I mean great pride. You think breaking a nail is bad? Last night, he spent 2 hours fixing split hairs before going to a party.

He's got enough concealers and various other makeup-related things to make an elephant look pretty. And he's got plethoras of dyes, conditioners and all that...

Think he could be addicted to his own looks? And before you ask, no, he's not gay.

Wow, no pun intended, I heard that World of Warcraft was addictive, but this guy completely ignored his wife, his house, his bills, everything to play it. If you can't sit down and watch a TV show together (30 fricken minutes) because there's a raid on, then you don't even deserve to have friends.

I gave up fast food a long time ago, I just eat out at the cafe most of the time. The lady there knows how to cook properly, she has 6 kids and 13 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids just now. And believe me, she rules the roost in her family the way the Pope rules the Church.

Great, now I have a craving for her English Breakfast, I'm going there tomorrow.

Quit feeling inadequate and useless, find out problems you never dealt with in childhood and sort them out. If it's recurring, then you've been ignoring those issues completely. Find out what you're missing and then sort it out.

10 pounds being roughly $20. Can't find the bloody pound sign on this keyboard. But this should prove interesting, since we have free healthcare in the UK, this should sharply reduce the amount of smoking-related diseases clogging up the system in a few years time. Although, people will find ways to circumvent it like crazy, but it should also see to the underage smokers issue.

It's water off a ducks back. Most new-age treatments work on willpower and superstition, get some real treatment instead of getting yourself hypnotized. Besides, a hypnotist would probably gyp you out of a few extra hundred if he's less than honest.

Well, unlike most mental issues, people can easily live with OCD in most cases, but unless you tell us the signs, then there isn't any real way to tell.

Some traits are akin to autism, such as unusual rituals in response to certain actions, or a hatred of germs, and in serious cases a profound habit of taking a certain number of steps to a certain place, such as a car. Quite a handful are aware that they have these odd traits and quirks, but can't do much about them as they're practically raw reflex.

Other than the usual dangers of induced diarrhea, such as dehydration, there aren't really any side effects to it at all. Although, why you would need to empty your bowels before surgery is beyond me.

It depends, I think you should be an adult for any cosmetic surgery, except when you have a nasty deformity or a growth. If your body grows after the surgery, it could make it even worse.

I think it's best to wait until they're adults except in the more dire deformities.

Irritability, difficulty functioning without it due to fatigue, headaches when not drinking coffee, and anxiety.

Caffeine isn't a very potent drug in terms of addiction, but large doses over a long period of time can turn serious. But it only takes a few days to get over it, you can be completely recovered within a week.

It could be to do with this countries attitude towards drinking, they say "Yeah I'm 21 I can dri-" and 2 hours later they're in jail for DUI.

They don't have a chance to learn how to drink responsibly, me, I'm only 18 and I've been a regular drinker for a while, and not been drunk once. I know how to drink responsibly, unlike some people.
