There's been many instances where meth labs blew up and many cookers have had their limbs blown off.  And I agree with you, I'd bee too scared to even think about making meth in my house.  I think it's the worst drug on the planet... it's disgusting.

Well you can't blame your brother for being with this girl.  And I'm sure she didn't know that she had an STD.  But they both took a risk being permiscuous and maybe they felt it was the right time for them.  But it's completely up to him if he wants to stay with her.  But he does need to be open with his future partners about his disease. I'm really very sorry to hear about your brother's situation.  People think sex is all fun and games but it's like gambling with your life.  You could be abstinent all your life, but then if you have sex with someone who's had sex with 20+ people, then you've increased your chances a lot of catching something.

Lol I got pretty curious too as to what meth labs actually look like.  Here's a link to a site that shows some pics and a lot of interesting info on meth.

Woops sorry, it's one big long link, it works though if you copy/paste the whole thing.

Smoking "Shisha"

"Shisha" smoking is typically middle eastern culture but has become popular all over the world.  In most western societies it's called "hooka."  But the smoking of the traditional "shisha" water pipe is increasingly emerging as a significant health risk, due to air-borne tuberculosis (TB) transmission from pipe sharing and uncontrolled, manual preparation of the pipe.  The most important risk factor for TB infection was close household contact with a TB case, but the water pipe smoking and the sharing of the pipe with someone with pulmonary TB led to a great risk of TB transmission, especially among young adolescents.
So, if I smoke shisha, some bacteria may reside in it.  When you go to a fancy bar, they do change the mouthpiece, but what about the tube of the pipe?  And the water?  You still have the bacteria in the water where it resides.  The World Health Organization (WHO) regional office in Cairo estimates
that 17 percent of TB cases in the eastern Mediterranean are
attributable to the smoking of water pipes.
I smoke hooka frequently with my friends and I've never heard of any risks of contracting tuberculosis.  And I would expect someone who had tuberculosis would be cautious of spreading it.  I think I'll definately be more careful with who I'm sharing with and exactly how others are preparing the pipe.

I think you should seriously consider going to AA.  You'll find a lot of people that are in the exact same boat as you are, and many that are worse.  I've been to lots of meetings as support for friends and just in general, it's helped me so much with my life.  I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with this, but just know that you can overcome it and one day you won't let yourself be controlled by alcohol.=)

It's good if you're looking for some of that drama, love triangle type show.  I watched the first three episode and I was sick of it.  But if you're looking for a not so dramatized hospital show, House is awesome!!  And they actually use a lot of medical terminology and they deal with real diseases.
