I was an alcoholic for about 3 years. me and my husband divorced and the only thing i could turn to since I was in a city where i knew no one was alcohol. I drank all my problems away and even when I got over the divorce I still had a date with the bottle every night. I moved back home and my friends noticed I was different and about a month later them and my family intervented. I didn't want to quit and just got away from all of them as much as i could but after a while i realised i needed them in my life. I attended AA meetings and moved back in with my parents for a while untill i sobered up. the withdrawals were killer but I have not had a sip of alcohol since may 30th of 2004 :)

I think the person whos quiting should try their hardest to stay away from drug free enviorments at all times, whether its work or socially. It helps a lot. Like imagine being on a diet and then going with all your friends for pie, you cant eat the pie because of your diet, and seeing it and being around it makes it so much harder to resist.

give your self a cerfew, that way you dont end up going out and partying like you used to. when its time to party do something else like go watch a movie, go out to dinner with a friend, or just stay home. yea it might be a bit boring at times but it will definately be worth it in the long run.

I drink a glass of milk when i cant sleep, it helps me.
And it makes sense too because thats what you give babies too and they sleep right away.

Anyhow, yeah, those HDTVs are extortionate, and every single one is a >32' Panorama widescreen with XYZ pixel display blah blah blah... and none of them are small. Some of us prefer smaller TVs.

When I look at the HDTVs in Wal Mart, the display on them is disgraceful cause they use a shoddy quality demo on them. Why don't they put on a movie that shows up really well on a HighDef with a regular TV next to it for comparison? Something like Advent Children.

One stupid broad on the TV was comparing it to Black and White vs Color. I say it's just a sharper display that makes Ice T's split ends more noticeable.

I buy my TV's from best buy, they usually play movies or sports and even news on there, like a bunch of TV's play different things..

but I did spend quite a lot on my TV's. The most I spent was $6,000 on a high deff 52'' (i think) plasma. But I felt a lot better when I found out my best friends husband spend $14,000 on a 60'' but their TV is beautifull!!!!

thats how it was for me too when i first quit drinking. I would think "well i havent drank in 2 weeks i should reward my self with just one cup of wine" but right when you take a sip you've relapsed so dont do it. I still get urges to want to drink so bad but even my mind knows its wrong now and I wont let my self. I like my sober self better than my drunk self and I want to stick this way.

I've heard many succesful stories about anger management. All the people who I know that took anger management classes learned how to control their anger.
And they made a movie called anger management so it must work right :P JK
