That's soo good to hear! I'm happy for your sis. My brother has been clean off drugs for roughly three months now. I'm also very proud. He's changed so much for the better. What we do in our family is remain really supportive, and promote healthiness. We all have gym memberships and try to eat really healthy. Promoting a healthy lifestyle can make someone desire to stay off drugs/alcohol.

I agree with this, movie theatres are supposed to be a family environment... serving alcohol is only going to lead to problems. It's all about the money, band it's just not right to profit off of something that's inappropriate. People get loud and obnoxious when drinking, and that doesn't mix with a movie theatre where it's supposed to be a pleasent, joyful environment.

Some couples are obsessed with looking extremely fit and some of the ways they choose to manage their ideal bodies are ridiculous. My friend just got implants and she's only 18. Her boyfriend has always been really particular about her weight and just her overall look. And her boyfriend has been using steroids since junior year in college. To me its crazy how they are, but I guess some people have a different view of 'beauty.'

Prosecuting Wealthy Drug Offenders

Extremely wealthy people have been excused from charges and escaping court appearances and jail time for years now. They got off so incredibly easy, it's just ridiculous. Am I the only person that gets angry over this concept? Hans and Eva Rausing from Holland Park are heirs to the multi-billion dollar Tetra Pak fortune. They were recently busted with smuggling heroin, cocaine, and cannabis into the Embassy. The Rausings, who met in rehab, were let off after they confessed their drug problems to prosecuters and promised to get further treatment. The Rausings are symbolically important. By letting them off, we are validating the illegal drug industry. The world may run on double standards, but there is only so much the public can handle.

The times when I go out and buy nice things is when I'm feeling bored or I'm avoiding something. A lot of shopping addicts I've met actually have low self esteem. They go shopping because they like to be surrounded by all of the pretty things in the store and also the store clerks who make them feel special and important for shopping there. Retail therapy can be helpful, it's good to do things that make you feel good about yourself and lift your spirits. But going just to cover up your feelings and avoid dealing with issues is all bad news!

My parents got divorced in seventh grade, I was such a sensitive kid and I took it really hard. Basically at this point, my parenting stopped. My mom had to find a place to live and worry about a new mortgage to pay for all by herself. It's sad when kids are forced to grow up really fast. But things have got a lot better, it took a long time for us to get on our feet, but it's actually made me a stronger person.

Bizarrely I now have to remind myself to eat. I've dropped at least ten pounds during the month I've quit, and it's coming off different places than usual, like my stomach rolls are melting away, when normally my boobs would have shrank. It's strange.
Anyway, I feel like a snake shedding its skin - shedding pounds, shedding alcohol and dugs. I feel there's a brand new healthier me in there somewhere.
