Now I remember why I always picked you to gamble with. XD. Talk about converting with a touch, never did it again, I swear that.

One kid who had a history of bullying at the school near where I live, the parents threatened the school with a class-action lawsuit after the school said that he had some issues due to his dad being a drunk, and they wouldn't punish him because he was "traumatized and confused". So yeah, that kid got kicked out last month, and the homeschooled kids number for my area took a nice jump as well. I wish people would take action like that more.

It's more of a complex, so it's developed over time. Usually from being ridiculed and teased over the slightest thing, people need to be more aware how much damage little doses of a bad thing can do to someone.

The thing is, the recipe and all is kept secret by the makers so they can monopolize it. For things like severe depression, you should always go with a trusted brand, as it's easy to become mentally unstable when you switch drugs. Trust me, I know.

Nah, I doubt that she's jealous of me, probably the other way around, cause I don't know if she knows that I exist, since I live in the US and Quenlin lives in Scotland. Maybe I'm a tad jealous cause she's there with him and I only have Quenlin on MSN.

Thanks, it helped.

Is there even such a thing as a Siberian ink cap? Google gave nothing. But some mushrooms can have certain effects when combined with alcohol, so it's best to avoid the more exotic ones. Like the shaggy ink cap, probably what you're thinking about.

They keep jacking it up and up, yet the number of drinking related problems refuses to go down significantly. What is needed is an alcohol license of a sort, and strict laws around it. You get done with DUI or admitted to rehab, you lose it.

I mean... come on, find more ways to stop alcohol abuse.

Too long, been on for 3 hours today, and I'm just getting warmed up! Since I work from home, I pretty much need to clock a load of hours, those researchers can take that number and just shove it up their asses, obviously, they've never run a website in their lives.

It's normal for little kids to have some odd traits, just branding a kid as OCD is just rude, and will probably earn you a slap if you say she might have OCD. Besides, kids don't have carefully defined rules for things. She probably thinks that you need to wash them a lot to stay clean, and you know how a little kids logic works.

Still, don't go passing labels around when people have a single trait that's a bit off, I once smacked someone across the jaw for saying I was crazy for having "Unusual interests", because labeling someone is considered a dire insult in this day and age.

The only time you should make yourself vomit is if you eat something that's not properly cooked or poisonous. It should never be done in excess because you lose a lot of stomach acid and fluids, which needs to be made again. The acid also wears down the throat, causing permanent damage over time if you do it often like a bumiliac.

I wonder if anorexics deny that they don't eat

My studies in psychology says that a lot of mental issues where the person has... a delusional version of reality if you will, such as anorexics thinking that they're fat, they will deny a lot of the problems.

This occurred to me when I saw a picture of a skinny girl with, pardon my French, "I do fucking eat!" written on her stomach. The model herself is just naturally slim by the way, but it kind of made me think; do anorexics deny that they don't eat?

Bullshit. First step to getting over a problem is admitting it.

The more you talk about it, the less power it has over you, and you might find others who've overcome said addiction. Suppressing something just gives it power, why do you think that most offensive and touchy subjects are really daft when you actually think about them?

Most drugs such as marijuana and cocaine get you high, and when your high, the chemicals in your bring put out a lot of good emotions, letting you forget about all the things you're dealing with. Then you keep at it and wind up addicted to it.

That's really the main reason. Other ones include curiosity and social-based things. I wouldn't be surprised at the number of teens who smoke weed to fit in.

They've brought out 4 generations in it's entire lifespan. Roughly 10-12 years. Hardly exploit, unlike Magic the Gathering, which comes out with countless packs every year.

Yeah, the show went downhill after the second season, the first 2 seasons and the first few movies are raw awesome. I was quite the master back in my day, completed the pokedex before everyone else and I had a legit Mew as well. Those were the days.

It will never end, as long as we have alcohol, we'll have drunk teenagers. In this day and age, nothing will stop people being, I hate this word, exposed to things we don't want them exposed to.

Depends, if it's someone who's famous for being famous, like Paris Hilton, then they get about as much sympathy from me as some random woman with a broken nail.

But someone that earned it, like Heath Ledger or a famous singer, then yes, they get some.

Nope, you have the right to return products to the store within certain limits. So a wedding dress stained with cake, wine, rice and DNA from the best man wont be accepted. Then again, a store has the right to ban anyone for any reason they see fit. Although they can still invoke the right to return a product, it takes a restraining order to quash that one.

I was on them for a while and they made me as loopy as hell. I was practically bi-polar in any sense of the word. They do work differently for different people, some work brilliant, some make you crazy, some are as effective as placebos.

I swore them off. Next time someone dies, I'll just get over it and not mourn them for longer than a week.

I find the new system quite innovative, the ability to add more to a post instead of editing it is a really clever idea. Stops people messing with a post to twist peoples words around. The avatar idea is pretty neat as well, kinda on the nanny side, but this is a worksafe website, and people take comfort in knowing that there is worksafe content. On that note, I'm firing up an avatar.

Allowing a party is one thing, but if you do, you should make one rule; No. Alcohol. Also best to have a parent or two there to keep them in line, the presence of a responsible adult can really help.

Rather stupid law, but it's in the best interests of the kids, and the parents of those kids, to keep it a dry party. You don't need to get drunk to have a good time. Besides, someone winds up pregant? Everyone is up shit creek if you'll pardon my French. You know what teenagers can be like.

Not guilty by insanity, or guilty but insane?
2/27/2008 7:25:06 PM Aries

Charging and sentencing people who have mental problems is a touchy subject, but at times, insanity pleas get passed around like candy bars, and sometimes, the person wants to get away with it and not wind up in prison.

I hear it every now and then, it's not as common as it is on CSI and Law and Order though, where it shows up every 2 episodes, the real number is only 1%, and only a quarter of that gets the insanity plea. One thing that I've learned though, is that for an insanity defense, the person has to prove that they were not self-aware at the time of the incident. And they gain about 5 years of psychology experience between the crime and the trial for some strange reason.

Now, if I was on a jury, I'd never condemn an insane person to death, but I wouldn't let a criminal walk out of a courtroom without a jail term, Hell or high water. I'd rather have someone sentenced as "Guilty but Insane" rather than "Not Guilty by Insanity". So what is everyones thoughts on this subject?

Them: "I paid $4900 for this thing, aint it beautiful?"

Me: "I paid $800 for mine and I got $400 worth of anime, a Wii with several games and accessories, that's $1700 total, bought a PS3 as well with some more games, that's $2200, went to the store and updated my manga collection, $2400, spent some money insulating my house and a burglar alarm system, $4300, and I had a custom paint job done on my porche, $4800. By the way, like my new shirt?"

Yeah, I have a lot of stuff now, he has a TV and the idiot left the box outside. Someone breaks in, I ain't calling the police.

Depends on the narcotics, as for back pain, I'm guessing that he's prescribing marijuana. That's fairly addictive but in pure form, it's not too potent in terms of addiction. You'll probably become dependent on it for easing the pain though, but you should really ask your doctor about it, be sure to get info on withdrawal symptoms and the like.
