I think both are equally bad and disgusting, which is why you people can get locked up for simulated child pornography, and to me hentai is just a "simulation" of real pornography.

Depends entirely on where you live, the Supreme Court declared virtual child porn as legal, as no minors are involved. Also, when a minor is portrayed in a hentai flick, that's legal as well, cause no minors are involved, yet again. But it's illegal in the UK and Canada and a few other areas, the legality is all over the place.

Also, less gross? You haven't seen Urotsukidoji have you?

Jacking up prices. Helping to curb addiction, or taking advantage?

I wondered about this last night, do companies like cigarette companies increase the prices to discourage people with addictions from buying it, or are they doing it to rake in more money?

I think it's the latter, if something is in high demand, it will sell, no matter what the price.

He tells me that it has been proven that 2nd hand smoke does not cause cancer.

If someone had said that to me while blowing smoke in my face, I'd smack him right across the jaw for it.

Don't forget that if you have them doped up on drugs, they'll grow to hate you. That hate turns to rage, that rage turns to violence, that violence turns them to you.

That's something worth thinking about.

I'd say that it's getting into rehab, like I did after becoming dependent on anti-depressants (And being waaaaay too crazy at times). It takes quite a lot of guts to go into rehab, but I did and got over it.

Found this article a wee while ago, thought that it would be right up this forums alley, give it a read.

And I know people just like that, checking e-mail during a movie, looking through your text messages during dinner. It's just so damn rude, I don't do it at your house, don't do it at mine.

Try taking allergy pills that have a drowsiness side-effect, that really helps my insomnia, but the hallucinations when you are between dreaming and being awake might make sleeping a little tricky.

Thing is when they report news on health-related issues, they just parrot what was said on the last one, the one before that and the one before that too.

They'll say that it destroys your health in ways we've heard about, says that is increases the risk of heart disease just as much as obesity, show some pictures of anorexic models with a ribcage that is ideal for playing Greensleeves on, and top it all off with someone puking down a toilet.

But a mother of 3 that weighs 80 pounds? That's damn low, although I did know a friend of mine who's mother was as skinny as a twig at 70-something pounds, but she wasn't anorexic, just really skinny. She didn't have any problems with her health at all.

Teasing is what caused my friends ex to go on a crash diet. Kids should be taught not to tease. Period.

She's alright now, three days after taking up crash dieting, her ex scared her into eating again with his 1337 lineart skill by drawing a picture of a cute girl with a level of anorexia commonly found in surreal art. And no I'm not posting the pic, it's NSFW.

I don't think that they should be banned, the only reason they don't work is because you don't do it right. Keep in mind that we have the right to try any treatment that we want, and if that treatment has nasty side-effects or high dependency, then thats the consequence of free-will.

Some of them are completely useless though, but keep in mind that it's illegal to put a drug on the market without approval, and actual practical test results.

Sounds a lot like you are addicted. Try and find something better to do other than sit on the web all day, buy yourself a console and play a good game for a while, and no going online to look up cheats...

If you ignore your fiance because you're too busy with the internet, an actual living physical being, then you are definitely addicted.

Takeout is always overpriced, especially those damn "healthy" options that are nothing but rabbit food, do you have any idea how many salads I could make with the amount I spend on a single salad at Micky D's?

I'll remember that next time I stop by the Chinese, and I'll try eating with chopsticks, and if my mum says ONE thing about being a little different, I'll sharpen them up and stab her.

As healthy as it is, fried rice is extremely fattening because of all the surface area that can be covered with grease. I love rice though, I'd get by well in the Philippines.

I don't understand how peoples health can be ruined by a diet. I mean; if you start feeling weak and shaky, why the Hell are you still on it? It must suddenly take it's toll overnight, cause there is no way any sensible person would stay on a diet if they suddenly get ill.

People need a reason to give up an addiction, they might not care about themselves, but if their lover dumps them because they reek, then that might be a good incentive to give it up. When I was on antidepressants and was in a psuedo-bipolar state for a while, people got really sick of my mood swings, so I got off them. It was hard going without them, but hey, at least I'm my old self again.

If you decide to set aside a month of no drinking, or even just a fortnight, and he sneaks in a drink when you're not looking, then he most likely has a problem.

With my dad being an alcoholic, I know that he'll sneak a drink every now and then, and wind up piss-drunk as well. Even after we threw him in rehab several times he'd still drink.

One or two light drinks, and sticking to that, wont get you addicted to alcohol again. Just as long as you stay to it, you'll be fine.

But you should really try and find another way to unwind, try playing some games or go visit a friend.

Drug talk should be taken seriously.
1/29/2008 3:10:00 PM Aries
186 Posts Aries's Avatar
When I was in school, we went to some drug awareness thing that was obviously cooked up by people who were probably ON drugs when it was done. Talking to kids about drugs should NOT involving acting, singing, dancing and flagrant lies.

It should be taken seriously and they should be given truthful facts that are documented. I mean, one of those fools actually said that marijuana was more ten times more harmful than cigarettes. It's a shame I didn't have a giant sign that said [citation needed] when I went.

These kind of things should just be abolished, kids are more likely to listen to one person and listen to what they say if they don't mince words and give the facts. I'm sure the parents would approve of straight talk on the subject as well.

Your thoughts on this matter?

My girlfriend is now addicted to alcohol

It used to be just one bottle like, every other week, but now she's just quaffing down several bottles every few days. It gets to the point that she winds up unconcious and one of us ends up having to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't choke on her own vomit.

She refuses to get help, and thinks that she doesn't have a problem. I'm pretty sure she has a drinking problem if we take turns to keep an eye on her at home and were there like, every 2-3 days.

Any advice? Cause she is a really good friend of ours, and we don't want to drive her over the edge by just ditching her.

I think I used to watch too much TV

I just remembered that, a few years ago, I saw a survey that said that 12% of the people surveyed only watched 14 hours of TV a week, and the first thought that crossed my mind was "Amateurs".

So I decided to do a little math to find out how much TV I watched before I got rid of cable.

I watched Teen Titans, Code LYOKO, 4 eps of Law and Order, 3 hours of adult swim and various other shows. Roughly 10 hours a day, 70 a week, nearly half a week. And being someone that hardly sleeps, it was still a large chunk of my day.

Anyone watch more than I did?

I but them quite often, the draws I mean. I'm not much of a gambler but I do have some crazy luck at times, I've won 2000 pounds before, which was more than enough to get me here to the US.

I hate scratchcards though, those are just rigged. I never touch a game where the numbers are already set.
