Sick sick sick, can't believe that someone would rather play games than take care of their own kids!

They're your children! Your flesh and blood! You created them and you destroyed them while you were at it.

12 years, it should be 20 each.

Never forget that marijuana can be taxed, and if it's taxed, a lot of money can be earned from it.

Also, if it can be legally acquired, it puts a lot of drug dealers who deal in it exclusively out of business. People are already addicted to drugs and alcohol, but a large amount of money that makes up the pricetag is raw taxes.

Like it or not, lots of people smoke marijuana, but at least it's not heroin or acid. We could always use more public money these days.

All I see is a huge wall of text, but if I guess right, it could be the % of addicts addicted to an addiction.

Needs some proper formatting, it's just a shamble to me. Didn't your teachers say to properly label and explain graphs?

Too many people misunderstand mental illnesses

From getting the wrong definition to outright stereotyping. A friend of mine suffers from schizophrenia, and he's not a raving lunatic who lives in a fantasy world, nor does he have multiple personalities.

And when I was on DeviantArt looking at someones gallery, someone commented on how Dizzy, a character in some fighting game or something, was a "Skitzo bitch". But the closest thing she has to a mental issue is multiple personalities, and she doesn't even have that.

Meaning, some people don't know one illness to the next, some are on the same scale, like aspergers syndrome and autism, but the severity between the two is phenomenal. But schizophrenia and multiple personalities? Pick up a medical encyclopedia before I throw one at you.

Hardly, most dreams are completely forgotten within a few hours of waking up unless you constantly go over them. If they keep worrying about it, distract them for a few hours and they wont remember.

That helped a lot with my little cousin, he had bad dreams a lot after grampa died, but he would forget them by tea time.

The bakery at the supermarket near my house is guilty of that. As soon as you walk through the door, you have the delicious aroma of fresh-baked bread.

Wow, memories, now I need to go get some donuts, I'm drooling at the mouth.

How many teens do you know that smoke?

A lot of the kids in my school smoked a lot at breaks and all that, and they just didn't stop. Even when the Deputy Head catches them, yells at them calls the parents, suspends them for a week and they spend that week cleaning up the playground.

A handful gave up after being caught, and one particular girl quit after she came into my admin class stinking of nicotine. Teacher kicked her out of the class and told her to shower and change, she gave it up the next day.

Like they say, the first step is admitting it.

I'm currently addicted to anti-depressants, I went on them after my grampa died, and I became way too dependant on them. I tried going cold-turkey but that failed miserabley, so I'm trying to wean myself off them and making good progress.

45 pounds? I'm surprised she didn't kill herself in the process. At least she see's a skeleton in the mirror than an obese person like some anorexics do. Good thing the near-death experience put her on the road to recovery.

A friend of mine, he shocked an ex-girlfriend of his into eating again by finding a drawing of a cute girl suffering from an extreme level of anorexia. One look at that, she started eating again.

Ironically, it made me lose my own appetite...

Some people can be addicted to the thrill of shoplifting and all that, and unlike most addictions, it can land them in extreme levels of legal trouble.

So why not a section for that? It could also give support to kleptomaniacs.

What is Kleptomania?

A psychological disorder in which the afflicted person unconsciously, and skillfully steals from stores. Sometimes it's gum, sometimes it iPods. It's a rather serious mental issue, as it affects businesses due to the stealing.

Although a documented, diagnosable and treatable mental disorder, it can't be used as a defense in court.

I know what that's like, my dad is an alcoholic and he still drank when he was out of rehab. Only way we got him out of drinking is by me telling him that I don't want a "useless drunken loser" for a dad, and that he was an embarrassment to me and my whole family.

I've really never understood why prostitution was illegal, but then again I've never done too much research on it. Anyone have any clue why it is prohibited ?

First off, it's difficult to tax, as it's plain cash for sex. It's not as though a hooker will give you a recipt for some backstreet action.

Secondly, it's often used by gangs and pimps to make money, and some of the women are underage or coerced into prostitution.

Third, if a hooker contracts an STD, anyone who has sex with her catches it, anyone who has sex with her client catches it and so on and so forth.

Lastly, huge amounts of potential for sexual abuse. Including rape and kidnapping

Now, if it's well-regulated and appropriately taxed with STD screenings and brothel/hooker liscences etc, then I have no problem as long as it's kept respectable.

First off, no need for caps, second, do something about that STD, and tell EVERYONE you've had sex with so it doesn't spread.

Also, save sex for when you're married, multiple partners = more STDs spread. And that's from a common sense standpoint, not a religous one.

Lastly, use a damn condom, they cost barely anything. And try and get off of having sex all the time, you don't want to be called "That slut" all day long do you?

I never see denial as a symptom for things other than addiction, it just throws you into a catch-22. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. To me, Denial is a river.

That guy is a fricken imbecile, who the Hell eats 14 PLATES of food in one sitting? Why doesn't his family just say "Get off your fat ass and go to the gym or get out of this house!"? If I lived in that house, I'd tell him that right to his face, cause people who let themselves get obese sicken me.

As for that 22 days thing, that a total of 530 hours a year?

Give or take. Quite a lot, but I'm on like, 10-12 hours, to 530 hours is nothing to me.

Wait, NosTale and FlyFF are Korean? That's news, guess I'll go looking for the Korean server, hopefully a server full of die-hard MMO enthusiasts will be more entertaining then the servers I'm playing.

Ritalin the answer?

There is quite a lot of controversy around ritalin, especially in dependancy and side effects.

My views are this, unless your kid has a ridiculously extreme level of ADHD, I don't think it's right to just dope them up and leave them to their own devices. Sure, a lot of parents see it as a gate to some peace and quiet, but I don't lock up the co-worker who's reading over my shoulder right now to get him out of my hair.

My say: Gamble what you can afford to lose

My grampa gave me that bit of advice and it's stuck with me since. I gamble on occasion when it comes to sports and that, usually taking advantage of die-hard fans of specific teams that suck, and I rarely bet anything more than a couple of dollars. I'm fairly well-off, but I'm quite stingy with my money.

So that's my advice, if you would toss it in a wishing well, gamble it.

That's the psychology of an addiction, the body thinks that it needs it. Even though it does more harm than good.

Dunno about the mental health thing though, I know that some are a bit crazy in the head, but I think that the desire to be "normal" would be caused by drugs.

Which is why it needs to be taken more seriously, bullies shoulds be expelled on the second offense. It's not as though it's an unconcious thing. I think that anyone who even flat-tires someone should be thrown in detention and sent to a school for mindless thugs.

And I don't care if they have some pathetic excuse like broken homes, mental issues and all that. If that's the case, then expel them on the FIRST offense, if you can't be punished, you shouldn't be in a school.

I think that it works as an outlet for them. The same reason I don't kill people or myself due to my depression is cause I play a lot of games to get my mind off it. Or maybe because I'm not unbalanced.

I walk 3 miles to the bookstore every few days, 3 miles there, 3 miles back. Guess how much I weigh in spite of my craving for key lime pie?
