What do you mean? When does your addiction finally end? I think it's a bit discouraging to say that death is the only way out of an addiction. Otherwise, why bother?

If death was the only way to end an addiction, surely there would not be anyone who has ever overcome an addiction. I think we all know that people can and have overcome addiction. Maybe you need to re-phrase the question?

what do you mean by "limit of addiction"? If you are asking what is the limit of bad things that can happen because of addiction then I guess death would be the answer. Short of that there really is no limit as to the horrible things that can happen throughout your life as a result of addiction. But it doesn't have to continue until it ends up in death. You can begin recovery anytime. Simply posting on this forum is a good first step. Keep asking questions and keep talking to people here. There are so many members here that can help you.

Your question really makes no sense to me and to others as I can see. What exactly do you mean?
Do you mean when an addiction finally becomes a serious problem?

Well, Like others that have replied, I like to think that addictions can be overcome..... I guess in the WORST case scenario that a serious addiction would lead to death, but thankfully in our society full of various types of addiction, death is least likely to be the extreme end of ones addiction....
At what stage do you reach that limit?? well if I am interpreting your question correctly I would say that for a person to reach death due to an addiction then sadly they probably would have faught a long, long battle with whatever it is they are addicted to :(

Addiction is defined as a recurring compulsion by an individual to engage in some specific activity, despite harmful
consequences to the individual's health, mental state or social life. It starts when you do a harmful thing over and over again, left untreated of course it will end up to death but I sure hope it's that easy, fast forward yourself to death rather than experience the bouts of near-recovery, relapses, depression, humilation, and all the feelings you would experience that you'd rather die.
