It must be very hard for a parent to tell their children they are going to take them to a rehab center, isn't it?
Has anyone here ever experience it here and would share how it was?

Telling their children that they should be taken to a rehab clinic should be done when the kid is sober and the parents are not in steaming fury mood, but in a mellowed one rather. If this convesation will happen when the parents are angry and the kid is on a "high" or a "low" for that matter, it would be a very hostile scenario.

I wish we would have told our son he had to go to a rehab clinic. That would have been easier in the long run than what eventually happened. He had so many THC arrests that he was sent to prison. I always tell people that no matter how tough, "Tough Love" is, it has got to be easier than seeing your child jailed or maybe even dead because of drugs or alcohol.

My parents mentioned rehab to me, but I really dont want to admit to them that I have a problem. It'll break their hearts and I dont want that. I'm going to do this on my own!
