I'm 19 so me and my friends cant really go out and buy alcohol. But we get my friends mom to go out and get us two thirty packs like every other day. She does it and shes hella cool about it. and even though its good for us cuz we get the alcohol I cant help but feel like that shouldn't be happening because her son is just going to get messed up. I drink and party and all that stuff but I stay in control becuase my parents would kill me haha. But I feel like thats how parents are supposed to be.

I think it's important that there are adults who are there to instill discipline to the young ones, because if they won't then who will? Sure all people pass the stage where you just have to go out, have fun, get wild, do the restricted things. Ponit is, someone should be there to restrict you, otherwise, the son of this party mom would, well as you said -become a mess. Parents are the very first people whose values we imbibe.

I agree with this guy above me. I mean I would love to have a mom like that that would he hella tite. But even I can agree that parents should be the ones who disipline and watch out for their kids. And make sure that things like these is what they shouldn't be doing. Not encouraging them. But it would be pretty nice to have a mom like that for a week or so haha.

My best friend, her mom bought us alcohol before when I was with her and I know she does it all of the time. My best friend is the only one in her family that doesn't have a problem with drinking or doing drugs but her parents are drug addicts for sure. I felt a little wierd about it too, we went and got cheetos and a 24 pack and she bought it for us. That night I got soo drunk and I was hung over the next day. Now that I look back I regret supporting that because I know my best friend can't even live with her mom because she's so messed up.

Yeah I agree that parents have to be responsible for their children and this parent is definitely not in that category, my parents were really strict and I used to do the same thing, I had a bestfriend whose mum was always drunk and used to get us alcohol and even cover for me when I would tell my parents I was staying at my friends house for a nice quiet evening in, but was out getting drunk. What happened was my bestfriends mum died, she got so drunk one evening and overdosed on pills. Though it would be cool to have a mum that buys alcohol and gets drunk with you, its even cooler to have parents that are protecting you and are alive.

That's really sad, I feel sorry for your friend. :( I'm sure nearly everyone knows someone who has a parent like this. And I know there are some parents that do terrible things, disregarding respect for themselves and their children. Also, we have to think about the choices we make and the people we are today, for our children in the future.

I'm sorry about that :(
I have my friends mom who always covers for me also, she tells my dad that we are just staying home but instead we were out clubbing and partying. She didn't let us drink though. But I also knew a lot of parents who would buy the alcohol for us and my parents would've never even suspected it.
