A family altar can alter a family.

A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.

Don't put a question mark where God put a period.

Don't wait for six strong men to take you to church.

Exercise daily. Walk with the Lord!

Forbidden fruits create many jams.

Give God what's right, not what's left!

Give Satan an inch and he'll be a ruler.

God doesn't call the qualified; He qualifies the called.

God grades on the cross, not the curve.

God loves everyone, but probably prefers "fruits of the spirit" over "religious nuts."

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

Having truth decay? Brush up on your Bible!

He who angers you, controls you!

He who is good at making excuses is seldom good for anything else.

He who kneels before God can stand before anyone!

Kindness is difficult to give away because it keeps coming back.

Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory capacity.

Never give the devil a ride! He will always want to drive!

Nothing ruins the truth like stretching it.

Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.

"Pray" is a four letter word that you can say anywhere.

Prayer - Don't give God instructions - just report for duty!

The Will of God will never take you to where the Grace of God will not protect you.

This Church is "Prayer Conditioned!"

To be almost saved is to be totally lost.

WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning!

Watch your step carefully! Everyone else does!

We don't change the message; the message changes us.

We set the sail; God makes the wind.

We're too blessed to be depressed.

Heeey these are so true! Lol I love these little tidbits, sometimes all it takes is one saying or one prayer to help you through your day.

You found some nice sentences there, I'm not a big church visitor, but I like these sentences and some other inspirational sentences, not religious too :)

Thanks for sharing these gems. I love writing inspirational/wise sayings like these on notecards and sticking them on the fridge or by the computer. You are right that these are miniature sermons, and very effective sermons at that!

Those are simple yet inspirational. Sometimes inspirational messages are so long winded I lost track of the inspiring meaning. These are short in length by long in meaning.

That is an excellent idea jnjsarauer. I could get some fancy post-it notes and put a little inspiration in my son’s lunch each morning. Maybe scatter a few through out the house for a little uplifting.

These can be so motivational if you really put them into action. In church yesterday, my Pastor was talking about things we can do for God in 2008 and how it's so easy to just go to church every weekend and still not serve and miss his path. Keeping a solid foundation can stabalize you for when things get tough.

I especially love the last one. That's really clever, even I could inspire someone with some of those lines, no matter what belief they follow.

I'll start passing these around, especially the last 4 ones.

These remind me of those little sentences they put in Dove chocolates. They always cheer me up, they say things like "sing with the elevator music", or "smile, its contagious", "One little smile can fill the room with sunshine."
