Is there such thing as recovering from smoking? Is smoking addictive enough where you actually need a recovering time? If so what are the side effects?

There definitely is recovery from smoking and smoking causes a lot of withdrawals. Anxiety, anger, irritability, impatience and restlessness. inability to concentrate, trouble sleeping, bad breath or nasty mouth, stomach pains, nausea or constipation. There will also be psychological withdrawal symptoms.constant hunger, even sadness or depression.
I read on here that out of the millions of smokes in america I think about 48 million, only 3% who are trying to quit actually quit.

Dang, only 3% actually quit!?  That's interesting statistics, it goes to show how addictive smoking really is... Have you ever seen someone have a nicotine fit?  It's kind of funny, especially to a nonsmoker.  My aunt is extremely restless, jumpy, and jittery on the way to the store to get her cigarettes.  It's literally all she can think about, any conversation is about cigarettes and how she really, really needs one!

I have a friend who is usually so talkative and chatty and happy, but when she doesn't have her nicotine she's so silent she wont say one word. It's all thats on her mind. It's pretty bad too because she's only 16
