To help me stop my gambling I need to give away control to my money, I got rid of all my cards and plastique and got my girfriend to go with me shooping so she could use my money to pay for things. So I no longer have money of my own, it seems to work for me. What do you think?

That might be good for now but it is not a long term soultion. You need to learn how to live with money since at some point you will have to deal with it again (i.e. your girlfriend and you breakup or she goes on vacation or something). Try to do it a little at a time until you are back in control of your own money again.

I have to agree with the post above, although I think that you have thought of a short term solution that may help. You know that there are organizations that help people like this everyday. I also think there is a program on TV where a guy shows the spenders how to manage their money better. I think that might work for you, but only have you have recovered from the gambling thing.

Have you take on other interests yet.

looks like your girl friend is have lots of fun with you money , can you give me also some cash to spend , I could use it ( just joking ) any way , at lest its going to be used better

Well, all you can do is your best and you really need to stop giving her the access to the money. You have to know when to draw the line or it will continue putting you further in debt.

Yes, i thjink its really good for now, i think its the best way out that if you don't have money, how will you gamble then and i think its the most easier wayout also!!!!

Your really strong to not go back and regain control of your money. I tried many times to have someone control my money. I had my sister hold all ym credit cards for me and I was only allowed $20 a day but after 3 days I went into her purrse and took them all back and went shopping!!! it was so hard!
