We all know that there are often other problems that accompany addictions once the process begins to recover. New problems appear like depression, over eating and other things. Trying to handle all these things at once can cause a person to feel like they are going crazy. What would you recommend someone in this position do.

That is very true and I know from others that some times those problems only make the original addiction harder to deal with. I think that when you are addressing addictions you have to have an action plan for hitting those problems and making sure they do not become large problems.

This is where your support team can help. You support team may be this forum, your counselors, family, etc but they are important. Talk with someone when things bug you. Get it out of your system.

Wel yes... we should not try and treat every problem at the same time.

Taing everything one by one wud help...

just cuz we dont want things to worsen...
Find out the root. nd try working on it first.

Being able to address your issues is the key. Whether or not they stem from one thing or something underlying you need to determine what caused the addition in the beginning and address that issue or you will never be able to recover properly. Oh sure you might be able to recover for a short period of time by not addressing the main issue but eventually you will fall back.
