Seven weeks ago I married the most amazing woman in the world.  Now, less than two months later we are in the fight of our lives to save our marriage after my wife learned that I am a sexual addict. 

Most of my activities have been phone/cybers sex, pornography and masturbation related.  However I did have one physical encounter where I cheated on my then fiance several months prior to our wedding.  My wife now knows all of this and is in total shock, anger, devastation.  My question is twofold:
a) I absolutely want to get better and know I will work as hard as necessary to do so.  I know it will be a battler and take a long time but I need to and more importantly, want to do this.  Can you suggest any NYC based professional help that I can look into?
b) my glorious wife is so devastated and hurt and betrayed that she will not allow us to jointly try to reach a  determination about where this all leaves us.  She has decide she wants an immediate annulment and/or divorce.  Do you have any advice on how best I may be able to convince my wife that perhaps we can seek some level of professional or even spiritual guidance (we married in the church) before we make any moves that would be permanent?

We are both devastated.  I realize that it is due to my problem and behavior.  But I also realize that we married for all of the RIGHT reasons and that we deserve at least an opportunity to explore our options thoroughly and collaboratively before making a decision that could prematurely end any chance (no matter how small) of us working towards a better place in our lives together.
