Numbers in everyday life

Virtually every aspect of our everyday lives depends on numbers, from our bank account to our car license plate, and from the currency with which we buy our groceries to our telephone number. Indeed numbers are the framework within which we live our lives. Calculations made by astrological Horoscope India are also based on numbers.

Many objects which we consider essential to our quality of life also depends on numbers. For example, every page in a book has a number; there is a bar code on the back cover, without which a book can not be sold; there is a price on most books that is expressed in numbers; there is an international standard book number for identification; and there is a copyright date expressed in numbers. Without numbers, it is fair to say that life as we know it would be considerably different – in all likelihood, much more difficult.

From the moment we are born, each and every one of us is given a series of numbers in order to set ourselves apart from our fellow human beings. Most of these numbers are uncontrollable in the sense that they are allocated, probably at random, by an official or a computer. These numbers include those on our passports, bank account, internal revenue service reference, birth certificate, marriage certificate, and, finally, our death certificate. These numbers are important – indeed.
