I'm sure everyone has heard about Michael Jackson's death. There are suspicions that he was injecting himself with Demerol daily and that that's what could've caused his cardiac arrest. They are accusing the doctor of prescribing him it and he could be arrested for man slaughter. He is also pretty much on the run which makes it more fishy. They're saying that he was prescribed Demerol after burning his hand in one of his videos. But he hasn't shot a video in so long! So if this addiction is what killed him i find that extremely sad that the artist we all grew up to is now gone due to this disease, addiction, whom so many suffer from.

You can't believe everything you're hearing about his death.  I heard that yes he was being prescribed a lot of medications, but that he was also very happy before his death.  The medicines he was taking were very strong and he had just started his 50 city tour, everything could've become too much for him.  This is very sad though, i really wanted to meet him one day.

This is an interesting topic, awareness in addiction recovery has obviously been growing over the years, but Michael Jackson's death (possibly related to his prescription drug abuse) has catapulted the topic into the main stream media.
Of course with this there will always be opinions, but if you are interested in learning a little more about the Disease of Addiction, What happened to Michael Jackson, or the research into more innovative ways to treat the disease of addiction, our chief medical strategist will be on
KRLD Radio tonight at 7:30
AND
the Dr Nancy Schneiderman show on MSNBC at 11:30am Central time (9:30am PST)
tomorrow (7/17) to talk about Michael's possible addiction and the research surrounding addiction related issues.
Our chief medical strategist has been featured as an Addiction Specialist on shows like Fox n Friends, Dr. Phil (How to Stay Sober), local radio & news broadcasts, etc.  You can also check out his book, Healing the Addicted Brain, which is an in depth study of alcoholism and treating addiction in a scientific, results based way

I can see why he was very happy. I have nothing against Michael using what ever makes him happy but stars like him aren't like how they use to be. After decade of prescription drugs, and surgeries, his body must of been extremely unhealthy. Did anyone know if he checked himself into a rehab prior to his departure? I still feel as if this accident coulda been prevent easily...

Hi.

Of course he was a medical drug addict, or prescription drug addict, as was Elvis and Anna Nicole Smith. Their addiction killed them exactly as street drugs kill. If you want to read more information, I have a whole article on this topic on  my website at http://www.mindmagic123.com/id120.html
