Successful Pot Smokers..

When talking to my friends about their habitual marijuana use, this has been a prime excuse used. The fact that ..many successful people smoke pot.. My response to this is that yeah that may be true, but that's other people. There's exceptions to every rule. And making excuses for a habit is just another way of protecting an addiction. So many people know the harmful effects of smoking weed, but then again there's a lot of people out there that weed really isn't that bad for you.

I have a friend who smokes every day a few times a day and deals it as well. He has a canabis card so I guess he's smoking it legally. But a few weeks ago he started talking for about an hour about why marijuana should be legal and how its not bad for you. He started naming a list. Marijuana isn't as bad for you as ciggs health wise, its not addictive, you dont crave it yopu just wan't it because you like it. It makes angry people a lot calmer. He just went on and on about it, and the points he made really were true. And he is very succesful he on scholarship can write the most amazing stories, is a straight A student with college honors couses as well. And I was thinking, well if he can be like this then maybe weed isn't that bad for you. But as I looked around there are a few friends that I was friends with since high school, and a few of them were sooo smart! valedictorian status smart, but after they got into smoking all the time their lives kind of fell apart. They dont know what they want to do with their lvies anymore other than getting high and whos going to put five on it. Their grades dropped sooo much to the point that one of them got kicked out of their college and another was dropped from 2 classes because of never showing up. Those are people that make me double think whether weed is bad or good for you. There are exceptions to everything and some are succesful and weed doesn't affect them at all while others it ruins their lives.

Many people say that weed isn't addictive, which is true when you're talking about physical addiction. But it definitely is addictive mentally. I quit smoking marijuana habitually a couple years ago and I'm such an all around better person. It made me very blah and I just didn't feel like the old me anymore.. I started to turn into a pot head. It can be fun to relax and let loose but what's the point if you're not doing anything with your life anyway?

It kind of depends.
Some people, it doesn't hamper their well being.
Others, it ruins them, especially the few who wind up with a psychological addiction to it.
