Recently a judge overturned the Bush Admin.'s restrictions to limiting the sale of emergency contraceptives to adults 18 and older.  Now seventeen year olds are allowed to purchase the morning after pill without a doctor's prescription.  I feel that the judges action was long over due.  However there's some bad media attention toward this decision.  Sexual intercourse is illegal for minors, but giving them access to contraceptives is somewhat contradictory, we should be giving them different tools to promote abstinence at least until their considered adults.  But lets be honest, most people who are sexually active these days begin having sex at an early age.  So this decision is appropriate in my eyes.  It prevents unwanted pregnancy and could reduce the number of abortions.
