An elderly woman, who obsessively bought clothes and accessories died in her own house, when a mountain of suitcases fell on top of her, burying her alive.  The neatly-organized goods took up so much room in her house that there was only a 2 foot wide path to get around all of it.  And both her car and garage were packed with purchases.  She was reported missing after neighbors hadn't seen her in a couple of days, and she missed a hospital appointment.  A close friend of hers went to go look for her but thought she had left the house, and it took three searches to find her body beneath all of the stuff.  This spending had been going on for over 16 years....
   Can you honestly believe this, is pretty sad really that her spending addiction wound up killing her.  I never thought that shopping could ever kill anyone but I guess it really can!

I wonder if her friends tried to give her an intervention, or tried to get her help..  There's actually a lot of hoarders out there.. they buy and buy just to stuff it in their house.  I remember seeing an episode on TV and this couple had literally mountains of stuff in their house.. It was actually a really nice house but it was trashed.  And the couple was exposing themselves to lots of toxins because there was black mold on their walls, but of course they had no idea.  And it some of the piles, there were rat nests and tons of insects, it was completely infested.
