You are a soul with a body, rather than a body with a soul.

Of all the judgements and beliefs that each one of us owns, none are more important then the ones we have about ourselves.

In western civilization, we're accustomed to believing that what we produce and what we get for ourselves is a measure of who we are, when in fact, that's a dead end Spiritually.

Be patient, and loving with every fearful thought.

You have to risk some feelings of insecurity if you are ever going to learn to walk a tightrope, water ski, become a writer, start a new business, try out a new recipe or do anything that requires learning.

Neither your family, nor your culture, gave you your personality, you created it yourself.

You don't want to have a relationship with someone who's exactly like you. That is redundant. Why do you need two of you? You fall in love with what's missing in you.

Positive thoughts keep you in harmony with the universe.

I have a suit in my closet with the pockets cut out, It is a reminder to me that I won't be taking anything with me. The last suit I wear won't need any pockets.

If you're always in a hurry, always trying to get ahead of the other guy, or someone
else's performance is what motivates you, then that person is in control of you.

The Purpose of life is to find God.

Those who behave in ways that displease you, are sending out their disharmony toward you because that is what they have to give away. Hating them is akin to hating moss for growing on a tree.

Just STOP and stamp cancel on any self-defeating image that comes into your head.
If you think "poor me" thoughts, Stop and cancel those thoughts, and begin to think in some kind of self-enh

Keeping a resentment inside,
is the same as drinking poison
and expecting the other person to die.

I don't really understand this one? Is it because once you die you cant take anything with you but the live you've lived?

Yes I think that's exactly what it means.  While in recovery, I think it's best to have that foundation, knowing that all we have is ourselves to answer for, and not how much money we made or things we've bought.

I like the last one best.. It's one of the steps in recovery, to forgive those who've hurt us. It makes no sense to harbor negative emotions towards someone.   We're only hurting ourselves.

Very true indeed.

“You do anything long enough to escape the habit of living until the escape becomes the habit.”
