The laws are going to start making it a requirement that cigarette companies start making cigarettes that go out if dropped or set aside. This is already mandatory in Delaware, Iowa, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas, but they want to expand it to 32 states in 09. I guess this is a good thing. I wonder how many fires are actually started from cigarettes though?

It pisses me off when people throw their lit cigarettes out of the car while driving.  They don't even look who or what is behind them and there's always a spark when the cigg hits the asphalt.  I've also seen one of my buddies throw their half lit cigarette into a garbage can.. my wife reached in a grabbed it because it almost would've caught the whole trash can on fire.  I think the whole issue is just carelessness.  They should really just make it illegal to smoke while driving, I think that would make a big difference with fires along the freeway.

I agree smoking in cars should be illegal because not only do they start wild fires, but also think of how littering that is! On the side of the road you always see cigarettes buds and it makes the earth dirtier.
