Child Overdoses

Did anyone hear about all those children whose parents overdosed them on cough syrup? 103 died using OTC cough medicines and their age ranged from 28 days to 10 years old. It is being urged not to give children under 6 any sort of cough medicine and drug companies took infant formulas off the market to also help in this matter. They said that the parents would usually give the child too much medicine to make their child quiet down. This is so sad!!

That's so so sad!  Why the heck would anyone give their newborn baby cough medicine!  Even if someone didn't exactly know that the effects were really bad, it still doesn't even seem right to give them that strong of medicine.  And there's so many cases, how could that man parents be so ignorant!  If a baby is crying, there's something wrong with it.. it's hungry, or cranky, or needs to get changed, or has a stomach ache, or gas!  Giving it intoxicating medicine isn't helping the situation at all!

Omg if my baby was crying I would speed it over to the emergency room and try to help it out. I'd ask the doctors what I should do, I wouldn't just grab a cough syrup and start feeding it. That's something they have to deal with when they take the responsibility of having a kid. It's going to cry its going to keep you up all night when it has a stomach ahe. It's going to end up getting sick and keeping you worried and coughing the whole night while you hold it. It comes with the package, a person can't just go ingest it with drugs!!
I think its the worst when parents give their children alcohol so that they could fall asleep! They're just asking for their child to be an alcoholic before they reach elementary school.
