Recently eight children were hospitalized after overdosing on prescription-only pills. The children, aged between seven and thirteen, were at a house Saturday night when they took the pills. the parents of two children noticed some symptoms when the children woke up on Sunday. They were taken to the hopsital and treated. Some of the symptoms of an overdose may include agitation, disorientation, fainting, vomiting, difficulty breathing, fast and irregular heartbeat, blurred vision and slurred speech. There will be no arrests made, but hopefully this will be a wake up call to both the children and parents involved. People are far too careful these days... and now that drugs are prescribed more than ever, it's scary what these children have available to them. The pills taken in this particular case were mood-altering drugs and anticonvulsion drugs.
