This is so sad, a 16 year old boy was kidnapped by his onetime guardian, 43 years old, and 2 other adults, 34 and 30. He was chained to a fireplace for about a year where he was choked with a belt, denied food for days and beaten regularly. He fled the home last week, with a chain around his angle he went to a local gym and asked for help. The teen told investigators he had been seriously burned on his left arm when someone purposely lit a fire in the fireplace while he was chained there and sleeping. He said he was choked many times until he lost consciousness. He was regularly hit on the head with a baseball bat and once cut with a knife. He had an injured ankle that seemed permanently indented from being chained. They also forced him to take unknown pills, drink alcoholic beverages, and smoke marijuana to keep him lethargic.
I don’t understand how anyone could be that heartless, even if it was someone I hated I would never be able to do that to them!

I actually heard about this story also.  And it was his aunt that was doing this.  He was staying with her before and then I guess went back to them for whatever reason. But he managed to escape somehow and I'm sure they're going to be prosecuted.  But that's so horrible like you said, how could anyone do that, especially if it's your own family member.  You have to be completely crazy and out of your mind to be able to continuously torture someone, or completely heartless!

how could you light a fire knowing that a person was right there about to get burned??? Or hit someone in the head with a baseball bat!! OMG I cry when a basketball hits me in the head I cant imagine a baseball bat! It's amazing this boy is still alive! All those things should've killed him :-/ I feel so bad for him! I home his guardian and those people go to jail and get hit in the head with a huge metal pole!!! That makes me furious!!
